I emailed Yaeger earlier this week and was told that the 2012 materials would not be available until early January. I need to complete 2 sections in 1Q12, which means taking 1 in early January. Would I be OK using 2011 materials for this test? I know that one of Jeff’s main suggestions is to use up to date material, but I don’t see a way around this.

    BEC - 11/25/08-61, 8/31/09-76*, 2/24/12-76
    AUD - 2/21/09-53, 8/31/10-60, 11/30/11-83
    REG - 11/30/09-68, 5/31/12-79
    FAR - 8/29/11-81

    IL Ethics - 93

The exam isn't materially changing from 2011 to 2012. Something to remember.

Thanks Jeff! Beween REG or BEC, which would you suggest first?

I would normally recommend REG first because it's much harder and it's better that you get it out of the way. But the 2011 Wiley REG book is outdated, so I suggest waiting for the 2012 version. If you want to start studying now, then go for BEC as I think that will have the least amount of changes.

I think whatever section fits into your schedule the best. If you start studying early December and want to take the exam 4-5 weeks later…BEC. 6-7-8 weeks later…REG probably.
