I’m going to give this FAR retake EVERYTHING I have! I’ve been up and at it for almost an hour now and I’m feeling great about it. It’s quiet, I have my coffee, and I feel like I’m actually getting something out of the study session. Perhaps, I’ve found the best time of day for me to retain the most information. Who else is up and at it this morning?

I'm tired of operating in fear and mediocrity. It's time to try. It's time to do. It's time to go.

We're definitely up and putting the work in! I need to pass this beast of an exam. I'm trying my best to conquer it, but right now…in this moment…I just got beat up by foreign currency. Ugh! I'm knocked down, but not defeated.

Yes!! I did see your post before bed last night about your baby. I thought it was so cute! It makes my heart melt when I experience these type of milestones and transitions. And honestly, it makes me want to fight that much harder to finish this whole thing up. My kids haven't seen me without all of the studying and I'm ready to be DONE with all of the books and carved out study time LOL. BTW, I'm silly all of the time. It's definitely a sign.

Hello Early Risers!! I have been wanting to get up early for last couple of weeks but it was just not happening. Got up early today and feeling so pumped already. I really hope this becomes a long term habit for me because I need to carve out quality study time in order to be done with these exams. Thanks for putting this together, great source of motivation!!

Welcome, @famh110! We're glad to have you on the early rising team. I hope studying in the morning proves beneficial for you and the rest of us. I truly believe it's easier to retain the info when I'm depleted after work and the whole hustle and bustle of life. Happy studying!

    Happy study!!!!
You guys motivation gives me life đŸ™‚ and like most of you guys I am an early bird as trying to study after work is almost impossible.
I am just about starting to study for FAR after a long break (It is been 8 years since I first attempted studying for the CPA). Unfortunately,I Never got a chance to complete all 4 parts (only attempted Audit twice and failed) while in public accounting due to work constraint.
I am now out of public accounting, busy as ever with a full time job and two toddlers but ready to tackle all four parts.
What CPA review courses are guys using? I am at the end of the Wiley trial, tried Gleim as well and still debating which review course I should pick between the two of them (not considering BECKER as it didn't work for me a few years ago).
Best of luck to all of us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning, everyone! It's time to get up and get to it.

Welcome, @Coucou! Sometimes all you need is a cheerleader standing alongside you. I've been “studying” for too long and it's past time to get serious. I, like many of you, know I've been on this forum way too long. And I do know what it's like to study with a family and outside work obligations; it doesn't get any easier adding more to the plate. As for review courses, I'm using NINJA and Roger for FAR. My Roger course will be expiring soon and I really like the NINJA framework.

I'm tired of operating in fear and mediocrity. It's time to try. It's time to do. It's time to go.

Happy Saturday! I hit the adaptive phase last night in NINJA so I'm feeling a little boost. I've changed clothes, brewed my coffee and I'm ready to go. I actually put on workout clothes when I wake up early to study. Does anyone else have an “early morning wakeup to study” routine?

Happy Saturday! I decided to do a little yard work first today. Now, I'm brewing the coffee and preparing to sit down and get to it. Congrats on hitting the adaptive phase! I'm trying to complete at least 100 mcqs today and review everything I worked on earlier this week. It would be nice to rewrite some of my notes too. We'll see how it goes.

I'm sleepy, but I'm up. Who else is up early?

@borntowin: Good job on the yard work. Any fun stuff outside? I'm thinking about getting a super easy to take care of tomato plant this year. That's the extent of my yard work :)! How did studying go yesterday? I didn't get as much accomplished as I'd hoped, but I'm back at today.

@Hustle Darling! There was absolutely nothing fun about the yard work I did on Saturday LOL. My study efforts went well, but I locked myself in the library on Sunday for 5 hours…that was a much better day. How are things going over there for you?

I wish there was a way to set up study sessions within the forum…I could so use a study partner with this FAR material. Luckily, I have this thread to at least make me get up and try…
