Who here drinks?

I’m kinda drunk right now and wanted to see who all drank alcohol on these forums? I drank tonight after getting out of REG because I was so mad at the exam even though I probably have no reason to be. I’m in a college town and for some reason feel like I should drink, but every morning after I always regret it. I waste my money on alcohol and spend hours around assholes and stuck up bitches who only want me for my money. I really wish I could meet a nice girl who wanted me for who I am, instead of having to play some stupid game with her. I have anxiety if I’m not around people and feel like I have to drink in order to be sociable and what not, even though I know that I don’t really need to. Anyway, I don’t know what else I have to say other than I’m going to feel really bad tomorrow morning and will be laying in bed all day. Thank God for my good health, loving family, excellent education, and the ability to pass this damn exam.

    Passing out…

lol, yep thats your alcohol speaking!

I'm almost 27 and have never drank. The problems you have is not because of others, its problems you bring on to your self. I'm sure you did good on the REG! Lets see what your comments are about your post here when you come back sober 2tom. lol

This is kind of a cute post. Haha! I gave up drinking for these tests. I can't study if I'm hungover or tired the next day.

Drinking after you take an exam is a time honored tradition passed down from generations of frustrated and bored accountants. It's not the only time I drink, but it's my favorite time. I call up all my friends that I didn't have time to hang out with when I was studying and have some fun.

I once tried a beer while tailgating when I was going to college. I was around a bunch of assholes too and stuck up bitches… After that I went to the games by myself because I did not like the peer pressure…. 2 years later I have a decent job making good money while those assholes are still living off their parents or making $9/hour….Life is good….I'd rather be a nerd than a loser for the rest of my life….But yeah I miss those nights at Miami Beach with the hot girls…lol

Yep, got hamm'd all the time back in school. I'm back home since graduation with this exam and my tolerance is now garbage. Which will make it that much better after I pass!

You have to find the kind of booze that won't give you a hangover. For me, all brown liquors, all wines, and most beers mean that the next morning will be profoundly unproductive. Clear liquors like vodka and gin are perfect for avoiding hangovers. But vodka is for sorority girls*, so I go with gin — Sapphire, Hendricks, or Plymouth — which is more appropriate for anglophiles and effete snobs, like me.

    * No offense, sorority girls, I love you. If only you would love me. I'll settle for you noticing I exist. Oh well, that's why I have gin.

Anyone wanting to see the real side of alcohol should come over and take a gander at my neighbors. They are definitely the public service announcement that the beer commercials do not show.

30+ years old (both of the kids) living at home. Can't park their cars in the garage because they have refridgerators full of alcohol in their garage. Stand outside all weekend long (who am I kidding they are permanently on weekend) entertaining other DUI drivers who stumble in for free alcohol. Both with habitual dui's and no jobs. Mom is a two fisted drunk. Dad is vocationally successful working for Honeywell–something to do with heavy machinery but is pretty much constantly drunk. The one brother who manages to have a part time career, off and on, is drinking 20 beers a day or more. He's going on trial soon for DUI and laying drags.

    It's a dead end endeavor.

This thread is sad and awesome all at the same time.

22…have had multiple drinks in a night maybe 4 times since graduating (last May). You really can't do it while studying because it's a lot of time lost. Will have a beer or glass of wine on a friday or saturday to try to unwind from studying all week….often times with my WIley book right next to me haha

    Starting all over.

Drinking less and less only a year removed from college (4-5 nights a week to 1 every 2-3 weeks). The worst hangover I've had in a very long time was the day after my FAR score was due to be released. Spent all night drinking and refreshing the NASBA page, no luck. Woke up feeling like death and saw that I passed. Worth it.

Have had to cut back on drinking when studying (now for REG). For some reasons, my deductions always end up significantly larger after a couple beers.

Passed AUD, BEC & FAR. Lost credit for AUD & BEC once. Finally finished with REG as dessert. 15 times was the charm.

    AUD: 86
    FAR: 81
    BEC: 80
    REG: 76

im shocked by the amount of nondrinkers on here.

drank a ton in college (fraternity gentleman at a big-10 school) but now that im working it's really only the weekends.

interestingly, drinking was my pre exam ritual. i had at least a couple drinks on every evening preceding an exam… i think four the night before FAR.

    REG - 81
    BEC - 88
    AUD - 85
    FAR - 81
