I’m taking Audit on the 16th and the only available time they had was 8AM, going to be a little rough. Who else is taking tests this week and what is your study plan over the next few days? I’m planning on doing MCQs again and again.

I take BEC the 31st so I still have a few days! Why is that when I am at work time seems to travel at half the speed of smell but trying to study it goes into warp speed? Good Luck on your test!

@mgoloubenko it is what it is, I'm feeling really prepared though so I suppose its worth the sacrifice for now and then I'll have some fun Monday. Glad to know I'm not alone haha.

Good-luck on Audit, based upon your prior scores I doubt you'll have any issues.

Taking FAR on friday the 17th. Trying to do all 1600 pass master questions as my review. I still need to go through some chapters and make sure I learn the JEs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

@xwingdingx- The MCQs are much simpler than Becker but you will get some questions that leave you scratching your head. Watch your time carefully because it can be quite a time crunch by the time you reach the SIMs, and usually that's the make it or break it point for people. Try to get the research question first- hopefully you'll find it quickly and can move onto the remainder of the SIMs. Leave nothing blank, even if you're running out of time and totally not sure fill in the journal entry titles and put 0's into the number boxes. Partial credit is better than none at all!

Im in the same boat as Kricket, 8/28 for AUD! Im only on A2… half way through the lecture, then I have to go back and read those damn 80 pages for this chapter before I do MCQ's…. AHHH Good luck on your exam 🙂

@futuremdcpa, Audit gets a lot easier the second time you go through the questions. The first round everything just seemed so wordy and I would just click on answers without reading all the choices, but it definitely becomes more engrained.

That is what I am hoping for! I just need to give up all my free time for the next few weeks, which is ok. I mean eventually it will all make sense.. Its not too bad to be honest, just like you said its very wordy. I realized that after I watched the lecture, and tried doing MCQ's I didn't really know anything so I went back and read everything for A1, and tried the MCQ's that way, and was really understanding the majority of them. So Im going to spend 1 day doing lecture followed by reading which should take up a whole day or a good part of it. The second day is MCQ's for that particular chapter. Hopefully I will have about 8 full days of redoing all MCQ's, and re-reading to remember information.

I'm not sure if I am going to utilize the test bank for this section as im on a time constraint. Hopefully Becker will be more then sufficient. Im not aiming for a 75, Im going to study as if im aiming for a 99!

You've passed the worst exam everrrrr BEC!!!! I don't know how anyone does.. that exam is so crappy. Good luck for your AUD 🙂

When I took BEC, as soon as I walked out I called my dad and told him I thought I messed up. I felt like I didn't get a chance to show all of my knowledge on the subject and I felt like I had to guess on a bunch. I thought about it and may have gotten 15+ questions wrong. Low and behold, my score comes in as an 87 so don't worry about it, you did better than you think. Many of the questions that you had trouble with are likely to be pretest as it was in my case.

When I was doing FAR I was finishing up my last semester of my MAcc, but now that I'm done and don't start work until January I study full-time. That being said, I never study more than 6 hours a day. I watch the lectures, read the parts that I'm hazy on, do the MCQs and write down notes on every single question I get wrong. I don't write the question, but rather the fact nuggets that I'm missing. For chapters that I have difficulty conceptualizing, I hand write notes from the book in order to help me understand it. So basically tons of writing has helped me.

I'm taking BEC Monday at 5:30PM. My plans for the weekend are to go over a few bits of IT and a progress test or two, this afternoon. Read a non-accounting book tonight, to relax. Tomorrow, I'll take a final in Becker and review my weak areas. Monday, I'll drink coffee and read the news until test time. I try to keep my mind as relaxed as possible before a test section.
