I only need 11 more hours until I have 150 required in OH to sit for the exam. Im taking the 12 Spring Semester. When should I start studying?

I don’t feel that confident in my knowledge of material from undergrad.

I also don’t think I can afford Becker, going to go with Wiley. Any/All advice is welcome? How do you all study with a full time job.. I’ve never really had to study much so any tips, info, etc. on a study plan is also welcome.

If it was me, I would wait till I can devote 100% of studying only to each part of the exam. You will have better chance that way.

You will have 12 units this spring – that is a full load. You will have to study for each of your enrolled courses (quiz, homework, midterm, finals, etc).

So to give yourself a better chance (specially as you mentioned you are not very confident in the materials), start studying for the CPA after you finish your spring semester. Give yourself a week or two of enjoyable vacation away from studying before diving to CPA exam, you’ll never get a chance until you pass all 4 parts.

I also work full time and have 2 kids at home. I use Wiley/Ninja combo. I study during weekdays after dinner for about 2-3 hours. Then all day on weekend. Also it’s been years since I graduated so the topics covered in the CPA materials are literally new to me (Though I have accounting degree, I do not work in the industry).

My method is this:
* Read Wiley Study Guide (Book).
* Answer MCQs related to the chapters I just studied.
* Two weeks before the exam – study only online MCQs and SIM from Ninja.

You’re the only one that can decide what will work best for you. My current study method works for me, but it doesn’t mean it will work for others.
