I had my REG exam scheduled for this Thursday but rescheduled to next Tuesday. I’m using Roger. Went thru all the lectures, currently reading the book and taking notes, and doing Ninja MCQ. My average score on Ninja is 63%. I just wasn’t feeling ready, but then again how will I know for sure?

So my question is, at what point during your studying did YOU feel that you were ready to take on the exam?

I never felt ready for any of them. The only one I rescheduled was BEC since I was having a very hard time with the material. I was barely trending 70% for each. (Except FAR, it was a little higher) I would get to a point where no more info would sink in and I would just go in and do my best and hope I knew enough to at least make educated guesses on ones I didn't know. It worked. I suggest to keep hammering those MCQ. The more you see the better off you'll be come exam day. Good luck!

Generally after finishing going over the material (Lectures and all of Becker MCQ and Sims), I would give myself a month of review time. That's worked for me so far.

Nobody every feels 100% ready on exam day. There's simply too much material and it's impossible to know it all. As Mjganier says, you eventually get to a point where nothing else is sinking in and at that point it's best to just take the exam and get it over with.

Finally, I've mentioned this before but I see it as a big balancing act. There are two mistakes people make. Scheduling too early and not being ready and scheduling too late and having answers memorized and forgetting other stuff. It's important to find that balance and schedule your exam accordingly. Originally my REG exam was scheduled on May 1. I moved it to tomorrow (April 16) because my initial estimate was way too pessimistic and conservative. I'm glad that I'll be getting it out of the way tomorrow becuase I don't think I could maintain this level of focus for another two weeks.

Generally I never feel ready, but after experience I learned that a certain level of comfort can be reached to where you say I can't do much more, whether ready or not. That level for me is the completion of all multiple choice questions and having 1-2 days at least to review all my notes and summaries for all the material.
