I was curious what do people eat before they walk into a test center?

Do you drink water, energy drink, coffee, or coconut water?

Do you eat fast food or go for a salad?

Are there any other rituals you practice prior to going to exam?

Running, weights, t.v., movie, video games, sleeping, or runing down the street naked screaming I’m streaking?

I quite literally do nothing 24 hours leading up to the test. I'll go to work, but do not study. I ensure I get ~ 8 hours of sleep, get up and make it in for either may 8 or 9 am test date, and give it my best shot.

Last minute cramming has never helped me in college, and it still doesn't do this day. I kept cramming straight into my 61 first attempt at FAR πŸ™‚

All of you eating big breakfasts and drinking lots of coffee before exams are much braver than I am, lol!!!! In all my testing experiences, I never once stopped the clock for a break. Ever. I always felt panicky thinking about wasting time checking in/out etc and the workers at my prometric were unpleasant in general. I always scheduled noon exams but only drank enough coffee to feel awake and ate an extremely light breakfast with a food/water cutoff around 10am. I woke up at my normal work time and spent the morning doing light review and flashcards and Ninja audio in the car to the exam! I also scheduled exams generally on Fridays so I wouldn't have to go back into the office and deal with 10,000 questions.

Afterwards, I'd eat like a horse and enjoy a glass of wine or 4. πŸ˜‰

I have to drive three hours to the nearest test center and my only ritual is that I have to listen to Dane Cook the entire ride there. It has worked three times thus far.

I always tried to schedule my exams for 8am, because I'm a morning person and preferred to get the test over with by lunch time. That being said, I would wake up early, do some last minute MCQs and head to Starbucks. The key was making sure to remember to use the restroom before sitting down for 4 hours after a Venti.

Also, after the exam, I drink bourbon or scotch. Sometimes, both.

My “ritual” before any big tests, and what I used to do for finals in college, is smoke a cigarette outside of the test facility right before the exam while reviewing some last minute material. When it is done, I throw away my print outs and walk inside to take the test. I started doing it my first semester of college and since then I have always had a cigarette right before any big exam.

I'm the type of student that crams hard right before a big exam, I like to have the material fresh in my head. So I am usually pulling an all nighter and big study session directly leading up to an exam. I like to have eaten a good meal and snacks throughout studying along with pots of coffee to balance the lack of sleep.

High protein/high carb (but low sugar) breakfast. This means bacon and eggs, toast and maybe a low sugar muffin but not pancakes and french toast. I take a solid bcomplex to process the carbs and it gives me an extra boost. If you are not the vitamin taking type I would suggest just high protein. The problem I have with just high protein is that my body processes protein so quickly I get hungry about an hour into the exam. So instead, I eat some carbs to help fill up, and take the bcomplex right before I walk in to test (along with my alieve) so I don't get sleepy. It's weird but it works INSANELY well for me.

    MBA,CMA,CPA, CFF?, ABV?

Speaking of sleepy. I actually had to take a nap in middle of my FAR exam. Not a long one, but I did close my eyes for 5 mins. Luckilly I'm a very fast test taker and still got out of there with time to spare. It happens, lol. Also, I did pass.
