what's harder, AUD or BEC? - Page 2

    I know its a matter of strengths and weaknesses but for those who have passed both, how do the difficulty of the questions compare to BEC? How difficult is AUD overall?

    BEC- 80
    REG- 68, 71, July
    AUD- 61 , 84
    FAR- -- 75 🙂

    so since I passed BEC, I shouldnt be too worried about audit right? REG is a pain though >:(

    AUD- 61 , 84

    I thought BEC was harder but it was the second test I took. I was still kind of figuring out how to studying for the exams

    REG-89

    I am going to say AUD b/c I had to take it three times to pass! I passed BEC after studying for a month, but then again, that was last year when there was no written portion. Also, some of the material that used to be tested on BEC when I took it, is now tested on REG instead….

    BEC - 65 (4/10), 83 (8/10)
    AUD - 64 (10/10), 73 (2/11), 93 (8/11)
    REG - 47 (7/09), 80 (10/11)
    FAR - 84 (11/11) Texas. I'm done!!!

    AUD is a BEAST.

    The questions are tricky.

    I passed AUD with a 90 and i just took BEC on monday. I felt BEC was much harder! I really hope I dont have to restudy BEC..

    I sure hope that AUD is the easier one. I thought BEC was a breeze so I'd love to feel the same anout this exam especially since I'm taking it this Saturday! I'll report back with thoughts after I'm done.

    Personally i felt Audit was harder. One word can completly change the answer.

    BEC 80
    REG 78
    FAR 80
    AUD 74, 7/14/11 79---DONE!!!!

    I think BEC is the worst without a doubt! I lost credit for Aud and retook it and passed again. Last time (may have been my 3rd or 4th try) I got a 74….I hate this beast. So far REG and AUD are easy compared to BEC (at least for me).

    Each person has his/her own strengths and weaknesses. For me FAR/AUD were tougher than REG/BEC.

    I did pass BEC ( second window of this year). I think it was a combination of using different testbanks. I researched alot on the forum for input on the prior window. At that time, most people were talking about the lack of coverage on corporate governance. I used Gleim for that reason. I was able to pull some study notes from the free trial on corporate governance and used their testbank, which overall had mcq's that were harder than Becker and Wiley.

    Looking at the scores of the posters that took both AUD and BEC, it seems like AUD is the easier one since and overwhelming majority have higher AUD scores than their BEC scores…Maybe I'm just looking for patterns to settle my nerves before Saturday…

    Another indicator for me is that I've been scoring above 85% on all of my practice quizzes while studying for AUD while my BEC scores were rarely in the 80s. Well I'll find out in less than 48 hours! I'm losing my sanity with all these darn MCQs! (Went through at least 200 today alone)

    I think AUD scores are generally higher because a ton of people taking th exam work in audit. Econ, cost accounting, and valuations issues are topics that few people have work experience with. Fortunately, I majored in Econ and work in the valuation industry. I better have passed BEC! Lol

    @minimorty, you're probably right, but for the next 2 days, I'm going to keep firmly believing in my theories and live in a fantasy world where bookkeepers are taking the CPA 🙂

    And judging by your past scores, I'm going to predict that you'll have a passing score come Nov 3rd(ish)
