What Year Software to Buy??

So I’m still somewhat of a newbie. I’m finishing up my MBA in May, and I plan to start taking the CPA exam soon after.

My plan is to start studying this coming May of 2013, and start taking them next fall (2013). But my question is, do I buy 2014 software or 2013 software? I’m not sure when Becker or any other companies start to roll out 2014 software. But I was just looking for advice on what to do? Since I will be taking some of the exam in 2013 and some in 2014.

    Any advice is much appreciated!

I dont think any of the review courses release the next year's software until Nov/Dec time. So purchasing 2013 material should be perfectly fine. And if there are updates you should still be within the window to attain them. I have Roger and that is what I did. Not so sure about Becker but I assume similar situation.

    Good luck!

For Roger/Yaeger or any Wiley 2012 or later CD or Online Test Bank the date of purchase will not affect the questions you see — they will be refreshed in the back-end software for all active users. Since the CD syncs to the Online Test Bank (as of 7/23/12) and PIN codes for 1-Year of access to the Online version have been included in CDs (since 1/25/12) there should be no issue with question “freshness.” For iOS and Android Test Bank apps the updates roll typically in the Jan-June period (iOS first then Android).

Okay thank you for the advice!

Is there somewhere on here that talks about the best mix of software to use? Would Becker be sufficient enough by itself? Or should I get anything separately to accompany it?
