@CPA Hopeful- FAR was kind of rough. I didn't feel ready going in and I don't think I did well. Fortunately there wasn't anything crazy on it, but I wasn't prepared enough. I'm not even going to stop studying to wait on the score.

But the MCQs were half an half for me. Some were ridiculously simple and some I just didn't know at all. The SIMS actually didn't seem too bad. Unfortunately at least three of the seven were things I just didn't know thoroughly enough. I'm really curious to see my score. I always feel like I bomb these, and with the exception of the exam I didn't study for at all, I'm usually pretty close to passing.

Good job on your first two passes. How's AUD coming along? That one was the worst for me.

    BEC- 73, 73, 80
    REG- 74, 83
FAR- 50(didn't study), 76 (<--How the heck did that happen?)
    AUD- 71, 71, 79!!!!!
    Finished!!

@kristen1479 – You sound like I did after both of my exams… I sense a pass and a celebration…As for me and AUD, just started studying and I can already sense that this will be my biggest hurdle. I just hope I can get into the flow of it because I feel like I definitely had more background in the FAR and REG material so AUD is newer to me but I will attack it the way I did the first 2 and hope for the best. Good luck to you with FAR!

    FAR - 81
    REG - 75
    AUD - 85
    BEC - 79

Thank goodness it's over... Now on to the next step...

Worse advice for me would be to not practice sims. It may work for some people though…but I'm glad I practiced some just for the hang of it.

    Eating my popcorn too…

Ahahhahaha. I will stand by that although I don't think I ever actually gave advice to that extent. To me “Do not SLEEP during a 3 hour , 200 dollar (important) test” should go without saying. I simply commented saying that I feel like its an idiotic decision to make. That being said lets make it official:

Do not sleep/nap during your tests. Even if its a long test. Keep your $hit together, go home and have a nice nap after.

How about we add these other treasures too:

-Show up on time. Bring your NTS and your ID. ie: READ the instructions.

-Use current materials for your studies, or at least don't complain about the review material. Oh btw, if you didn't read the book

you don't get to complain about it. Ditto for the lectures- watching them is helpful. Yes- all of them.

-No, its probably not a good idea to skip a section of the material. If its in your review book its probably something you should study/know.

These are all things that shouldn't even come up on a forum dedicated to professionals seeking a CPA license.

As for the worst/best advice- I know I always look at the signature lines for people that had success with these tests. I would recommend paying attention to things they have to say and carefully weighing the info by others based on what you know about them.

BTW- drama ninja is being a hater. Baseball has great advice and sometimes people don't need to be coddled and called on their crap.

As for goodluck… did that kid finally get banned?

Yes I figured you weren't napping during your tests since you actually passing your sections. 🙂
