taxgeek83ParticipantI took AUD first because I had just finished an auditing class, took FAR next because I wanted it out of the way, am taking REG last because I love tax and business law and studying for that is my reward to myself for passing the other three, and am taking BEC third because, well, process of elimination. Totally logical, I know! 🙂

JamesBJamesParticipantI did FABR. I wanted to start with FAR right out of college, FAR -> AUD has a lot of overlap, and I figured I'd postpone REG as close to my start date juuuust in case I failed it so I could learn more about it once I start working.
FAR: May 1st, 2014 - 91
AUD: May 29th, 2014 - 97!
BEC: July 16th, 2014 - 91
REG: August 29th, 2014 - 88Licensed December 2015

MamabearMemberI did BAFR. I wish I had alternated between the ones with less material (BA) and the ones with hard material (FR) instead of doing the lesser two first. There is overlap between A and F so I would suggest you take FAR next.
CPA Exam - Finally DONE (November 2014)
BEC (08/10/13) 80
AUD (08/24/13) 65 (11/13/13) 85
FAR (04/12/14) 81
REG (07/19/14) 69 (11/29/14) 87!!July 22, 2014 at 11:59 pm #582682

taxgeek83ParticipantI think the whole thing is really subjective. Professional courses will make their recommendations based on material overlap, and everyone has their own reasons for scheduling exams the way they do. In the end, you still have to pass all four, so as long as you keep chugging along, I think you'll be okay. Good luck!!! 🙂

klink24ParticipantI did FARB. FAR first because it's affectionately termed “the beast”. Figured I'd get it out of the way first and know everything else was downhill from there.
AUD fell in place second because I was taking an AUD class and finished the class 2 weeks before taking the exam. As others have said, a lot of overlap between FAR and AUD. So glad I did these 2 in this order.
I wanted to save BEC for last because it's considered the easiest, and I figured even more so for me since I have an MBA and am very confident in the material. I just plotted out my study timeline and I'll get through all of the material and WTB questions in about 2 weeks.
Of course that would leave REG 3rd. Just took it and feel like the exam was on par with FAR, although the time required for preparation was not.
FAR: 4/19/2014 - 85!
AUD: 5/27/2014 - 90!
REG: 7/18/2014 - 81!
BEC: 8/13/2014 - 84!4 up, 4 down, in 4 months.

AnonymousInactiveI went with BEC first. I heard it was the easiest, so I figured… I would knock the easiest one out of the way to boost my confidence. Also, if I ever lost my first section, I thought BEC would be the easiest to make up in a relatively short period of time.
Then I went for FAR, then AUD. Took those two together because it seemed to me that the material overlapped the most between those two (JE's, Financial Ratios, etc.).

jftParticipantI took FAR first, then BEC then AUD. My suggestion is take FAR next because if I could do it over again, I'll would have taken AUD first. FAR and AUD go together because of the overlap of material as mamabear said. I bought the NINJA 10 pt combo so before my test I reread the NINJA FAR notes and that helped me a lot!
FAR-DONE
BEC-DONE
AUD-DONE
REG-last one!

LongShotParticipantI did FAR first simply because of the quantity of material and study time-wanted to take the time for that before the 18 months kicked in. Then I did AUD, REG, BEC. Obviously have had trouble with REG.
Every section will have overlap with other sections, but it seemed to make things easier knocking FAR out first and doing BEC last. Could switch up AUD and REG and probably wouldn't notice any difference.
FAR - 75
AUD - 72; 87
REG - 64; 74; 84
BEC - 88Done!!

KimboroniMemberSince you already started with AUD, and so did I, I'm hoping this will be helpful. I took FAR next, since it was my most likely retake, and I wanted to get it out of the way. I also wanted to save BEC for last, so that left REG as third. So AUD, FAR, REG, BEC– it's also the same order as in my Wiley book and the AICPA CSOs. If I had to redo it, I'd start with FAR and then do AUD, but otherwise this order has worked out fine so far.
AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)Disclaimer: My ninja avatar is not meant to imply that I have any affiliation with this site other than being a forum member. That's a pic of a T-shirt that my daughter gave me for my birthday. 🙂

005Participanti went BEC –> REG and now going AUD –> FAR
I know most take FAR first, but I'm leaving that beast for last. I know I will be pumped to get it over with and finally be done so I'll go hard studying all that material

REG - ✔
AUD - ✔
FAR - 11/29/14CPAExcel, Ninja MCQs, and a sh*t ton of coffee
