Hello everyone, I’m relatively new here but have been reading on the forum for awhile now.

First time(to be) CPA exam taker, sort of worried since I don’t have much confident in myself..but I am still going do this.

I am currently finishing my study at a university and will be graduating with B.S. Business Admin. w/ Accounting and Finance (don’t like how they are categorized under business administration but that’s aside from the topic)

With one more semester left and have completed all the accounting courses requirements (I am only staying one more semester so I can finish finance courses and getting 150 credits requirement), I want to start on studying CPA this summer.

My school offers discount on Becker review courses, but i can’t take them until next year June, and I don’t want to waste my time on waiting for a discount..so I am considering other cheaper alternatives.

I have read great things about Wiley test banks, and I also heard of Roger and Yaeger reviews..I am just not too sure which one I should use.

I plan on using Wiley and ninja flash cards for practice..and one of the above reviews…but which one should I choose?Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

and apologizes in advance if I posted in the wrong section, wasn’t sure I should be posting this.

I know Becker is expensive but they do a 0% interest finance plan. I really recommend going with them. When I started out I didn't want to spend the extra money so I got Gleim. I will say that I am sure Gleim is good but if you aren't confident and/or lack motivation, I wouldn't go with anything but Becker. If I would have just gone with Becker I would have been more motivated and focused and saved a ton of money in the long run. I recommend supplementing the Becker review course with the Wiley test bank and Ninja Notes. The last 2 items can be bought through this website.

    Good luck

Everybody has an opinion on this question, so shop around and see what's best for you from a financial viewpoint. I used Yaeger, and was satisfied with the experience. They use the Wiley book, and I heavily used the Wiley online version for my last two exams: AUD and REG. Good Luck.

I agree to shop around and see what may fit you. I use Roger and I really like this teaching style – very motivating. They usually offer discounts and are pretty reasonable with costs.

    Best of Luck!!

I know that CPAExcel offers 2 week trial so you can try to see if you like it or not.

Definitely try out CPAexcel's free trial. I'm a big fan – good content, free updates until you pass (not a 1-year subscription like some others), and pretty cheap.

Ninja notes+flashcards are a good supplement too.
