SkynetParticipantI know that studying for the exam can be very stressful and a candidate will try to do anything to even pass. So I am curious as to know if you guys, like basball players do, have any kind of rituals or superstition for the exam?

GatorbatesParticipantWake up early. Go get a Chick-Fil-A Biscuit and a coke for breakfast … head to the library for some light review … get to Prometric an hour early. Check in. Pray. Take the exam. During the exam, if I have a 50-50 question, I jot it down on the scratch paper. At the end of the exam, before I walk out, I'll memorize all my 50-50 questions that I jotted down. Get to my car, and write down the memorized questions. Head to the Applebees one block away from Prometric. Bring my book inside with my list of questions. Grab a pitcher of beer, and research the answers on my list. Then absolutely brain dump everything out of my head.

evesocalMemberHaha. There are a few Prometric centers I could choose from. For my first test I chose one based on wanting to be in that particular area for some other reason. I passed, so kept going to the same center even though for future tests it was less convenient. I always passed there. π

snbMemberI took every exam at the 8 AM timeslot.
Before the first exam, I stopped at Panera for a quick breakfast/study break. When I went to put my coffee on the table, I bumped it and spilled a little bit. I passed that first exam by 1.
For the other 3 exams, I went to the same Panera, got the same food, sat at the same table and “ceremoniously” spilled coffee on the table.
Passed each exam.

TXgurlMemberI always took the exam in the afternoon, so that I can do some MCQs and review my notes in the morning to limber up the ol' brain.
Then I always wear my favorite “lucky” red turtleneck sweater – which also has sleeves long enough to use as an eraser for the stupid whiteboards. On the way I stop at my coffee shop, Strange Brew, for a mocha latte, and then make a final stop for a Kind bar, with the BEST flavor salted caramel. Slurp and chew on the way to Prometric for a little extra energy. π
