    Just curious about the range ages…I’ve seen a lot of younger peeps discussing undergrad courses and I’m starting to feel old. So what say you?

    I’m 30…

    I am 30 with a full time job and 2 kids. Sometimes I regret getting my MBA which I received in August 2008 just as the economy tanked, LOL. IMO has just served as a piece of paper to hang on my wall. I think if I had gone the CPA route to start with I would have made it further in my career. But you live you learn!

    AUD - Oct 2011 - 79
    BEC - Feb 2012 - 84 (seriously thought I failed this one)
    REG - May 2012 - 84 (hmmm.....do they actually grade the SIMS???)
    FAR - Aug 2012 - 80

    I must be dreaming.... am I really done!!!

    @CPATerminator – Maybe you're right. Although the beauty of excel made that simple analysis a 5 minute adventure. 🙂

    Loved reading this thread. I passed at 49. Being a CPA was a second career after joining the U.S Army at 18 and spending more than 20+ years serving my country. You are never too old and I have a son older than some of you younger candidates.

    No typo…definitely have 7 kids, ages 2-18. Glad I am not the only “large family” future CPA here. Makes studying interesting to say the least. I imagine it will make working FT interesting as well.

    @Jeff – I know a bunch of larger than average families and mine is not the largest and most are still having children (while I do not intend to.) 14 is HUGE to me! LOL

    @MIA4MYCPA

    And I was regretting not getting an MBA 😀 (I quit after the first quarter; it was 2008 and I got financially scared).

    @ReneeNC

    I am planning one kid, hopefully. Two will be very challenging with both parents working and no outside help whatsoever.

    I admire your courage!

    Oh my, how do you guys afford so many children? I think of just having one and all the expenses that go with that… insurance, diapers, daycare, etc etc etc and I almost have an anxiety attack. Just for one!
