    Just curious about the range ages…I’ve seen a lot of younger peeps discussing undergrad courses and I’m starting to feel old. So what say you?

    I’m 30…

    @fearthebeard, you rocking a filthy beard while taking these exams? Everytime I take an exam and they take my picture at pro metric and I see what I look like, i bet they probably think I'm a hobo or something haha

    @Scott

    Haha that's hilarious!! I had a pretty solid beard (about 2 months without a shave) going into FAR, but I shaved it right after the test, since I thought I failed. What a mistake. I had stubble going into AUD, and I'm clean-shaven now. I'd love to have a James Harden beard, but I don't have the willpower to go that long without shaving. Plus, I'm sure it wouldn't be “work-appropriate”. But there's something great about not shaving…ask French babes haha.

    28 (will be 29 on 12/16) with one 2-almost-3-year-old, married and just passed the exams in August after 3 years!!! The exam was really difficult for me. Graduated with my BS in accounting in 2006 after buying my first BMW and house. Took time to life the young, single life–then when noticing my career would be limited decided to start pursuing the CPA; however, I was working 70+ hours per week at the time, about to get married and could not spend the amount of time necessary to pass the CPA. I took the long route and am glad it's over. I will be finished with my Master's of Accountancy this spring!!

    @fearthebeard, I too didn't shave for FAR, but shaved after thinking I failed also! haha ran out of shaving cream on 10/27 and decided I had to do no shave November or movember, whatever you want to call it, fortunately for me I don't start work until jan 7th so my appearance does not matter, plus the gf says I look like a young underaged boy on steroids with a clean shaven face haha I don't agree but I guess it's a compliment in a way….whatever though! As the french ladies would say, Why try to tame the jungle when you can do nothing and let it flourish…….

    Wow – interesting to see the cross section we have here. I am 46 with 16 yo twin boys and a 6yo girl. So with the math I believe I am 72 (twins age you faster).

    42….Ended up going back to school at 37 for a career change (from Healthcare to CPA) as I wanted to work more and it wasn't an option in the job I had (and still have, I now do part time Healthcare and part time CPA except for tax season…then full time CPA!!!).
