Just curious about the range ages…I’ve seen a lot of younger peeps discussing undergrad courses and I’m starting to feel old. So what say you?

    I’m 30…

Currently 43. When I was 38 and my first and only son son was 3 weeks old, went to a community college and ended up Summa Cum Laude in Econ and immediately transferred to a 4-year university and got my BS in acctg and finance Magna Cum Laude.

Jan. 2012 decided to get over with the CPA exam but miss my son tremendously as I can't spend time with him. He is 5, extremely cute and smart and goes to kindergarten. He usually sits on lap when I study and wants to watch CPA video lectures so when “he grows up, his boss wouldn't be mad that he doesn't know CPA stuff”.

As I am just in the start of the game, it looks like such a long journey, especially when working full time and having family obligations. But looking at this forum, I know I am not alone. I wish good luck for everyone out here!!!!

Cal its very hard with kids, but worth it when you finish regardless of their age My kids were 3 and 10 when I started my associates and are 12 and 18 now! My 12 year old she said she never realized I was fun before now because she was just a baby the last time I had downtime!

    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!

just registered on here this past week….22. I take FAR right before my 23rd birthday in April (and just 3 days before my NTS expires – so no re-scheduling that). It sounds like I'm like a lot of people near my age on here – wondering what it's like to have a social life. Graduated with a B.S. in Accounting and Business Administration May 2011.

    Starting all over.

    FAR - 11/27/13
    AUD - 1/4/14

@ mla1169, It must have been tough for you with two kids. I often feel guilty for not spending time with my son, but I am sure he will appreciate it when he grows up and so will your kids.

    42. Just celebrated my 20th wedding anniversary. We have one daughter who will be 18 in a month. I went back to college in 1999 and graduated in 2003 with a BS in Accounting. Decided last year that it was now or never on pursuing my CPA. I was worried after getting a 71 on my first section, FAR, and feeling like I failed BEC, that I was too old to retain everything needed to pass these exams. But thankfully I passed BEC and now have a renewed energy and confidence that I can do this!

    FAR - 10/17/11 71; 4/23/12 80
    BEC - 1/18/12 80
    AUG - TBD
    REG - TBD

I'm 41, married, 1 daughter (5 1/2) and one pound puppy who will be 6 at the end of March. I have a BBA in Accounting (2005) and I'm *finally* finishing my Master's in May! I've had the 150 credits for quite some time but I moved in the middle of a program & took a 2-year detour into Education before coming home to Accounting.
