I’m just getting started studying for the exams, beginning with FAR, and using Becker. With so much material to study, what is the best way to study? Should I take my own intensive notes, read the chapters 3x, supplement with Wiley and NINJA Notes? I just want to be the most effective and efficient with my time because there is a lot of material to cover. What has worked for all of you to be successful?

That's amusing; I was just going to add that the best way to study is with some type of alcoholic drink in hand… I drink red wine, but whatever floats your boat is good… that's the method that I am following tonight, although I still do not believe that it turns auditing into fun on a Saturday night…

I think one thing that gets very overlooked is the importance of exercise in keeping the mind sharp while you study and prepare for “game day.” I know I always study much more efficiently and think much more clearly if I've gotten my daily workout in. Yes, that takes time away from studying, but it also improves the time during which I study (quality over quantity). Just something I thought I'd mention helps me a lot in my studying.
