Anyone know if you get a pretest question right it helps to boost your score? So really, are they all just like extra credit?

If not, it really stinks! Obviously those questions take longer to answer so you can spend a lot of time on them that should have been dedicated to questions that actually do count…

1. No, they're not extra credit.

2. Why do you say “obviously they take longer to answer”? I don't see any reason why that would be true.

3. Chin up. Even people who pass with 97s often come out feeling terribly, especially the first one.

The only exam I felt good about when I left was tied for my lowest score. This isn't college, you will feel beaten up after leaving the exam every time 🙂

I just assumed that the pretest questions were a bit harder / on new material? Or at least they are questions that Becker/Wiley/other programs haven't seen before so testers are not used to taking them.

Of course AICPA factors in the time to do the pretest questions… so I'm sure it's fair. I just wish they counted toward your grade if you got them right.
