I am just curious to see what has worked for you in the past?

So far i have been going through all the lectures and highlighting in the book what i need to use. The plan is to then go back and read over the highlighted stuff/chapter do the required MP choices in the book and move on to next chapter reading the material and working out MCQs for that particular chapter. I am just trying to see if this is the most efficient way of studying for this exam.

BEC -Waiting on score May 5th
    AUD - May 30
FAR - Q3 depending on if i pass above two in Q2

My study method was the same for all 4 exams. I did not have Becker. But here's what I did (for less than $1,000).

    1. Read Wiley Book (chapter by chapter). Make notes of key concepts & terms.

    2. Answer at least 1/3 of MCQ's at the end of each Wiley Chapter as soon as finished reading & taking notes.

    3. Weekly, do at least 200 MCQ's on Wiley Test Bank.

    4. About 3 weeks before test, watch Ninja Blitz videos. I would go to my wifes office on a Friday after work & watch videos and take notes until midnight.

    5. Keep doing more MCQ's on Wiley Test Bank (or now, I'd recommend Ninja MCQ's).

    6. Work on simulations. At least 8-10 per week. Familiarize yourself with the different types of SIMS.

    7. Review notes & chapters as necessary based on results from the MCQ's and SIMS.

I never took a single section without having done at least 1,000 MCQ's on the Wiley Test Bank. And I had also completed at least 400 or so in the Wiley Book.

That was my method. It might have been overkill. But I passed all 4 parts on the first try. And what's more, I actually remember some of the stuff I studied!!!

    AUD - 82 (10/13)
    REG - 84 (11/13)
    BEC - 91 (2/14)
    FAR - 81 (4/14)
    (Wiley, WTB, Ninja Blitz)

I'm DONE!!!! Thanks Jeff & all the Ninjas out there who answered questions & encouraged me along the way!

My method was to just study as much as you can, do as many questions as you can, re-read the book as much as you can. I'd rather just have no life for 6 months then having the process lengthened due to retakes

When I took REG and failed I was just using Becker that wasn't working so I added to the torture.

I watch the Becker Lectures, highlight the book, re read the book, rewrite Ninja Notes, Use Wiley Test bank. It might seem like overkill for most people but it helped me to Pass Audit and Regulation.

Read each chapter, highlight important info

    Do MCQ's for each section

Make personal notes from highlighted material (Didn't do for FAR and i'm not doing if for reg this time)

    Make flashcards

Use supplemental test bank for fresh MCQ's to go over during the final review

Nugget Notes – Small pieces of info I always forget, I carry it with me all the time to review.

*My first to non passing grades are from when I watched the videos and did MCQ's

**May try Skynets approach for BEC though..

    AUD - 65, 89!
    REG - 70, 89!
    FAR - 78!
    BEC - 77!

    Finally!

I used Yaeger, but aside from the Videos, here is what I did…

    1. Go completely through one chapter and highlight/add notes to Wiley book

    2. Create completely new notes in outline format (ensure you copy from the Wiley book as little as possible…you want to put the concepts in your own words to help them stick!). Some people swear by re-writing notes, but this doesn't work for me as it is too easy to zone out.

    3. Go through all MCQ and SIMS for that chapter in the Wiley Book and add more notes to outline

    4. Go through all MCQ and SIMS for that chapter in the WTB

    5. Once I had gone through all the material once and felt that I had a solid grasp on the concepts, I would start hammering out the the MCQs again in the WTB. I would go through the entire WTB at least 3 times (sometimes 4). On the third or fourth time, the questions/answers become familiar so I would ensure that I could answer why the right anwsers were right and why the wrong answers were wrong (as if I was teaching the concept to someone else). Also, I would review my notes when I didn't have the WTB handy, but had time to study.

The above is a lot of work (you will end up working 3k or more MCQs for each section), but I passed on my first attempt for all sections…so it was worth it 🙂
