So I have taken FAR exam and hopefully I get good results when Nov 22 rolls around but If I don’t then I’m wondering if I should move on to REG. This is my 2nd attempt at FAR and I can honestly say, that I feel really good about the material in FAR and I know that I’m close if I don’t pass this one. I only sign up for one exam at a time just so I can just re-apply if I dont pass. Anyway, what are you thoughts? Do you move on to REG or go after FAR again until you pass it? In the meantime, I have already started studying for REG but i’m just contemplating my “what ifs” and I’m just curious to hear how others are dealing with this type of situation. Thanks in advance.

study REG while you wait for nov 22 to arrive. if you pass, continue studying REG. if you don't pass, stop studying for REG and go back to FAR.

one of my biggest mistakes was jumping around from test to test to test. stick with 1 until you pass, then move on to the next one

If I were you, I would continue to study REG and schedule the test. I would not want to lose the study time before the score release. Besides, if you made a 57 the first time you took FAR without doing any SIMs, then you must have done well on the multiple choice. If you knocked out a few of the SIMs this time, you probably passed.

If you continue studying for FAR and you didnt pass, obviously time well spent & you can retake in January. But if you continue studying FAR and you did pass, then that's 3 weeks of wasted time that you could've been studying for REG. Personally I would start REG while I wait. That's pretty much what I did after I took REG the 1st day of this window, and had to wait a whole month for my results

FAR - 1/26/2012 - PASSED (78, but Lost credit), re-do 11/27/2013 - PASSED (87)!
AUD - EPIC FAIL, 71, 69; 68; 5/25/2013 - PASSED (85)!
REG - 10/1/2012 - 72; 7/1/2013 - 73 UGH, 10/1/2013 - PASSED (85)!
BEC - 2/28/2013 - PASSED (82)!
Licensed CPA!
