So I took AUD for the second time and got the same grade again, 71. I am a little confused on what I should do whether I should take it again or skip it and move on to another section like BEC at least to get one test passed under my belt. Any help is appreciated.

From what I've seen on here it is best to stick with one before you move on. Also if you think audit will be the hardest, you should try to pass audit first to give yourself the most total time once you get one pass.

    Florida CPA!
    Took final exam 2/25/15.
    Sent in Application 3/12/15.
    Issued License 3/20/15.
Used CPA Excel solely for all exams.

Definitely stick with it. Have you considered maybe changing up your study techniques? You also may need to supplement as at this point there's a good chance you are memorizing the questions you have (as opposed to thinking about what the question is asking you).

Look inward first. If you studied the same way the first two times do not repeat for the third. Hyper focus into it and take in early January so you don't start forgetting the info. And if you have Becker get, I repeat GET the final review.

I am in the same boat as well. My 3rd time got a 71. I used Becker, WTB, Ninja Flashcards. I am out of ideas at this point. Probably going to move on to Reg.

I was thinking about Becker Final Review or Wiley's Online Test Bank. I just don't which to choose. Wiley does seem more bang for your buck

I would stick with it, but switch up your study method or materials. I found that making a lot of flashcards for the key concepts helped me for every exam. Ninja Audio was also good to reinforce the key concepts.

I had lots of trouble getting past AUD and I watched the Becker videos enough that I could almost talk along with them. Here is the best advice I can give. I went to a live final review class in Dallas on North Central Expressway. The class is held on Saturday and goes from 8am to close to midnight. It is long and grueling. BUT IT IS WORTH EVERY MINUTE. The instructor used to have her own review class until Becker bought her out but she still gives you all the information from Becker and her personal review course. I drove 6 hours one way to get to it. There were people that flew in from as far as DC just for this class. If you attend the entire thing AND follow her instructions you will pass. I went from a 68 to an 83!

She does these reviews for every section except REG. I went to all of them!

    FAR – 71, 75

    REG – 75

    BEC – 71, 81

    AUD – 56, 65, 70, 68, 83

I am going to go against the norm…

I think of this as anything else. Say you're at work and you're stuck on something. You just can't figure it out. What do you do? Walk away, maybe give it the night, then go back with a clear head and usually it clicks faster now.

I say go to another exam. Maybe BEC or REG. Study something else and get your mind off AUD. Once you go back the understanding may become more clear. Just my opinion.

    AUD - July 2014 - 76
    REG - August 2014 - 82
    FAR - November 2014 - 78
    BEC - January 2015 - 81

    DONE!!!!

Used Becker online. Who needs a text when you can burn your eyes out staring at the screen for months on end?

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you're hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

I agree with most here, i will say, stick to Audit before moving on. Also at this point, if you use Becker, Audit is the only section i did not supplement with anything else. Becker is dead on on Audit. So i would not waste the extra time and money to get familiar with another material. And time management is crucial, if you truly don't know an answer make the best educated guess (usually by elimination) and move on. You should not waste more than 2/max 3 minutes on a question.

Also I left this in another post and copied it here, and what i believed is the most important advice i can give you.

What saved me on audit is this. I got two simulations where i knew nothing about. The first time i took audit i blanked and left two sims without answering but passed with a 75, but it expired so i had to retake it again. The same thing happened where i had two sims for concepts i have never heard about, but guess what this time i did not blank and i used the research tab. They were very specific concepts with very unusual specific words, so i typed in those words and use the “contain only” “within GASS” on the research section. And guess what a table with 3 columns was the exact replica of the SIMS and all the answers were right there. I now realize that the examiners know that we can't know everything, but like in real life, when we don't, we will have to research that. Just become more than familiar how to use the research tool in an effective way so you don't get dozens of articles and know how to narrow down the queries.

    FAR: 80
    AUD: 81
    REG: 78
    BEC: 76
