I purchased the main self-study material from Becker, but I see many people also buying the final review and notecards. Do I need all of it? I am on a limited budget so I do not want to buy something not needed, but I also want to take the test as few times as possible.

Should I buy the ninja notes too? What are you ladies/gentleman using?

Personally I like having review materials from multiple authors. They usually complement each other well. For REG I used Gleim, Wiley, and the Ninja notes. I don't know if I passed yet, but I felt more prepared than with prior sections using only one review program.

If you're taking your first section, now is a good time to explore a bit in order to find out what works best for you. Too many candidates don't figure out what works best for them until they're on attempt #3. If you'd like to avoid that, and are willing to invest a little more, you might consider getting multiple pieces for your review.

I think supplementing Wiley Testbank with Becker is awesome! If you are limited on cash, don't buy the Becker final review…as many of its MCQs are similar to passmaster (though SIMS & lectures are new:). Def. get the Wiley testbank, it's less than $100 and def. worth it!

Don't forget the NINJA notes too. They are great for the last minute read through before the exam. I didn't see anything on the exams that wasn't in the NINJA notes. The notes and the Audio saved my behind on a few REG questions. Compared to other review's the price is also doable on a budget. Good Luck on your exam.

I like my own notes better than the Becker flash cards, and better than Ninja notes.

The Becker program plus Wiley test bank has been very helpful, so far.

I'm using Roger CPA Review. He is very energetic and keeps you awake. I do have to pause the videos a lot while taking notes.

For FAR, I also used http://www.accountingcoach.com to help explain bonds better. Sometimes looking at things differently is a good way to learn. This website also has games and crossword puzzles to help learn the material.
