Since I started studying in April, nearly everyday I have set my alarm for 5am to get up and get an hour of studying in & every single time, I hit snooze until like 6:30am. I have absolutely no self control in the morning! I am almost halfway through AUD and I’m taking it on 8/28 which also happens to be the day that I lose credit for REG. So, I NEED to pass. I study for 2 hours every weekday at lunch plus 3-4 hours after work and I want to try to get up early and review all of the sections I’ve already covered in the morning. For you all crazy people who are able to get up early, how do you do it? Something has to get my lazy butt out of bed to get this thing done with!

Same here, Mamabear! Even if I did manage to get up early to study, it wouldn't be productive for me. I'm just not a morning person. But power to the people who can do it.

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

Yeah, i'm not a morning person either. I'm already tired at its only 8:30am. We'll see how long this lasts.

I have been stuggling with this too! I think I would love to be a morning person but I struggle to go to bed at a decent hour especially with studying. I think I am settling for being a night owl for these last two tests. Maybe in my next life (after this) I will be a morning person….haha!

    AUD - 73,91

    BEC - 73,79!!!!

I used Becker review + flashcards, Ninja Audio, Ninja MCQ supplement on BEC and REG.

    Done! Praise God!

I really do admire every single person on this post that can sleep less than 7 hours and be able to function. I have tried to sleep less than 8 hours, and my already bad memory goes to shit. My power of concentration diminishes by probably 50%, and nothing works. I can be more a lot more productive in 4 hours of studying after a good night rest, than studying for 7 hrs after sleeping only 6. Bottom line, I can’t sleep less than 8 hours because I don’t get any benefits from the extra hours I might get from sleeping less.

I normally go to bed around 10:30 and wake up around 6:30. I learned, my freshman year in college, that an allnighter= failing a test. Never lost sleep due to studying again, and never failed a test again.

It's weird – I absolutely LOVE being up at crazy early morning hours!! Especially when it's still dark and quiet out – there's just something peaceful and serene about it. Actually waking up and getting out of bed, however, is an entirely different story…. 🙂

I actually feel slightly depressed in the morning haha…I am just really not a morning person. I wish I was. My sister is in college and gets up at 5am and her first class is at 9. She's totally a freak of nature. Im just thankful I'm taking this in the summer when it's at least light out early. Winter mornings are just plain terrible.

I can't get up early in the morning, but I don't have any trouble staying up till morning 😛

I have to adjust that habit at least 2wks before the exam.

I don't know what to advise you OP, I tried to go to sleep early and get up early, but I get up at the same time(late) when I don't try to go to bed early.

Try the app that detects/analyze your body movement/depth of your sleep and wakes you up when it's the best time.

They say everybody has 60-90min sleep cycle.

You get tired when you are forced to get up at the deepest sleep no matter how long you slept.Waking up at the right time is more important than forcing you to get up at x o'clock and sleep for x hrs.

maybe try and go to bed an hour earlier at night so you don't necessarily lose that extra sleep. also, just think – what do you want more: the extra hour of sleep in the morning or the CPA?

    Hi,

After reading this post, I think I will change my study plan. I will start going to sleep early and waking up early. After reading this log, I confirmed 1 thing that are true: studying in the morning is really more effective than after work since you spent all day looking at computer’s screen. thank you guy.
