    Hello Everyone

I am reaching out to the another71 community because I am in need of some serious coaching/advice on how to pass this life sucking exam. That said, I have failed audit 3xs and have yet to take other sections. My scores were 58, 60, and 65, respectively. I am very dedicated and diligent when I study. I do as many MCQs as I can, study 20 or so hours/week. I have no idea what *I* am doing wrong or where my flaws are when I study. Starting to become very discouraged!!! Utilizing Becker 2013/2014 self-study materials.

    Thank you for you input!

    *I am doing wrong.

*First of all, hang in there!

*Second, you took audit 3x and failed and that was your first section, lets think about how you can approach this exam differently.

Since audit is based on GAAP compliance which is covered in great detail in FAR, I suggest that you review and take FAR (test #1) and when come back and review AUD (as had never seen before!) and take a test (test #2). In your situation it is important to think out of the box b/c you've indicated that you've done all possible for audit test and missed it. I suspect that you were weaker in sims and, if that's the case, or especially if that's the case, FAR should be cleared up first.

Hope that helps and does not sound too paternalistic, wishing you best and admire your perseverance for sticking out 3X diligently!

barelystayingsane has a great study plan. But if you are working F/T, the study plan may need to get rejig.

When it comes to studying, go through your weakness. When you have an incorrect response in your MCQ, type it out on a separate sheet and review it on a later date.

Go through a few topics each day, not too many topics. If working on MCQs, I usually work on one concept at a time, that way you are sure not to miss out on anything. I am not a big fan of randomized MCQs like what you see on the exams, Q1 and Q2 are different…

Once upon a time, I was known on here as the Ragin' Cajun and occasionally the Pi$$ed off Coon A$$. I was asked on a couple of occasions to go all “Ragin' Cajun” on someone to get them out of a slump. Those people are done now. A few months ago, I made this video for a friend of mine. I hope it helps you.
