This morning I called my dad to ask for a little advise about a situation at work (mistake one). So I’m explaining everything and I said “….and when I finish my exam”. He said what exam. I said my CPA exam. His response I thought you were done you’ve been working on that for like 20 years!… Ok 5 years, and I stopped for a while but thanks for the support dad!

Ugh! Now I remember why I don’t tell him about the exam, about my job or anything relating to it!

    Thanks for listening!

    A - 61, 91!!
    B - 78!
    F - 76!!!
    R - 71, 73, 74, 69, 77!!!!

    Finally done!

This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!

Agree with all the posts…a lot of people just do not get it!

The comments/looks/reactions I got when I took the exam less than 2 days after my estranged father passed away were unreal.

I also had people assume that since I had my MBA I was a CPA too. That got annoying to explain!

Just remember all of us here at A71 know how hard it is and we actually get it!

Once you are done and on the other side it is worth it. The sacrifice will be worth it and dealing with all the not so nice people will be worth it. Oh and then you will have this odd void and miss studying! šŸ™‚

Yeah…people definitely don't realize that the CPA exam is on a whole new level! Because I've never failed a class etc before, my family seems convinced that I will pass the CPA exam without a hitch. I'd love for them to be right, but I'm also realistic enough to realize that passing all of it is highly doubtful! So, they don't understand the need to be focused and dedicated when studying, and worried when waiting on scores. Also adds pressure because I know if (or should I say “when”? šŸ˜‰ ) I fail one, they'll all be floored, and think it means I've become stupid. >:-| Just means I'm in the majority for that specific test section! lol.

But hey, if we all keep at it, we'll all make it eventually. Just a matter of time. šŸ™‚

My mom just told me after I told her I failed AUD last week, that maybe I'll eventually pass a part someday. That just annoyed me and is in a way helping me fuel my studying to pass in the next window!
