I have the old 2008 Becker CPA Review Course that was never used. I plan on ordering 2012 Gliem CPA review today. This is the first time I’ll actually start studying for the CPA exam and I plan to start with Regulation. I hate to never get any use out of the Becker materials. Would it be wise to start each section with going over the 2008 Becker materials quickly, then start and focus on the 2012 Gliem Materials? O4r should I just thrash the 2008 Becker materials and just start fresh with 2012 Gliem?

I would just use the 2012 Gleim review materials.

And I didn't know the 2012 materials were out. I bought their 2011 book a few weeks ago. Damn!! I've sent them an email to ask if they can send me a new book for the cost of the shipping. I hope they do it.

I spoke with Gliem a few hours ago, they are sending me the 2011 materials for now, then on Dec 5th the 2012 materials will be released.

I also ordered the complete system per section, which I think they cover any updates.

2007 / 2008 tax law is too old. The business law part should be ok tho

I emailed Gleim and they said they would only send me an updated book if I upgrade to the review system for $190. How absurd!! I'll just make do with what I have. The Test Prep software gets updated online anyway, so as long as I'm practicing with updated questions, then I should be ok.
