Typed formulas – does it matter

I am going to take REG for the first time tomorrow and have been practicing SIMS all day. I notice that the sims that require calculations say to type the formula into the spreadsheet to get your answer. Is this required or can I just use the calculator to get my answer then type in the number without entering my formula? Any info would be great. Thanks!

    AUD - 69, 77
    REG - 74, 81
    FAR - 75!
    BEC - 71, 82

    IL candidate!

    Finally done (5/24/16)!! Yahooooooo!

All of my SIMs were either drop down or fill in. I haven't heard of the formula option…

    Florida:
AUD: 73, 81! Thank you Lord!
BEC: 73, 77! Thank you Lord! and WTB
REG: 71, 82! Thank you Lord! and A71
FAR: 72, 78! Thank you God and my Mommy in Heaven!

Note: To use a formula in the spreadsheet, it must be preceded by an equal sign (e.g., =A1+B1).

This is what my Becker SIM is showing me. So you are saying the REG exam does not say that and that it does not matter if you just type in your final number?

You can just type in your answer. I only made limited use of the spreadsheets during the exam. Its not required and I found it kind of clumsy. It was mostly helpful when an answer relied on the answer of another one. (ie. sum, etc.)

Oh ok, I thought you meant in the actual SIM. Yes, you can go ahead and use the calculator, both options are there. I only used the calculator option for the whole exam.

BEC: 73, 77! Thank you Lord! and WTB
REG: 71, 82! Thank you Lord! and A71
FAR: 72, 78! Thank you God and my Mommy in Heaven!
