VENT:

I am taking FAR this Saturday. I have two days off from work to review review and review. I have my notes(from reading Roger book), Jeff’s audio and Wiley test bank. I plan Thurs to go through notes and MCQ myself to near death. Then Friday do the practice like assessments in Wiley test bank.

This week has been really rough. Been drowning in my review projects at work, which is creating doubt that I know anything about financial reporting.

Please say something, anything you think might help. I’m even open to the tough criticism. This is the most I have ever studies for a CPA exam, so dont look at my old scores. I have studied more each time, believe me.

I took mine earlier today and Becker did a great job in preparing.. Nothing out of the blue and the sims were doable.. i hope that isnt a sign that they dumbed down the questions for me.

I did the exam yesterday and it wasn't as bad as i expected – I think I did well on the mcqs and i saw some questions that were included in becker's mcqs. However, those sims were no walk in the part. I had 2hrs left after third testlet and closed with 3 mins remaining. Use the AL for help to ans those you dont tatally know – It truly helped me but it takes time to find the much needed info. If i fail i know its because of those sims. There were two that i had to guess on.

Well I just got home from the exam. 1st testlet, medium – felt good about them. 2nd – more difficult – tried my best. 3rd, really random. Felt like ever other was easy or super hard. So either they were all hard and I knew how to do some and not others. Or the ones I thought were easy I just thought I knew them! Ugh. I felt good about the exam until the SIMS. They werent complicated material just from MARS. I forgotten how to calculate what they were asking. I think it will be close if I were to pass. I havent passed an exam yet so I always think I failed afterward. But if I do fail, it will be the SIMS, those evil little…. anyways taking the weekend off from studying. Starting Audit on Monday, then if I find out I failed FAR I will retake it and push AUD to Jan.

We just have to pray that we get that passing score! on a side note, at least its over and we can relax for a couple days. When should we be expecting our scores? im in CA

I'm in CA too, our scores will be out the next day after it is released to NASBA. Watch this site to see if your NTS was released(other in same NTS will usually post) and the next day you should have your score. They only update once a day between 5am and 8am. So dont sit there clicking refresh(been there, done that)

I doubt I will get much sleep tonight. Yeah I know the feeling. I was getting sick last Friday when we didnt really know if the scores would be out Friday or not. I've settled down a little. But I know I will toss and turn. Good luck to you too!!
