This is my second retake after getting a 72 and 74. This time, I started from scratch, relearned everything and really feel better about my weak spots-Like-Kind exchanges, Basis (contributions and distributions) and income effect for S corps, C Corps, and partnerships, Sec exchange 1933 and 1934.

I will say I didn’t complete all BLaw questions. I’ve been weaker on sims which are almost always tax questions but I’ve been pretty good at BLaw.

    Ethics avg 91 trending 92
Fed tax process avg 81 trending 95
Prop Transactions avg 86 trending 94
Individ Tax avg 74 trending 83
    Entity avg 74 trending 90

    Did most of the sims

Practice test 1 and 2 got around 90

Not sure what to do Sunday and Monday before my test? I’m a little nervous I’m forgetting something and if I fail I lose FAR. Any advice?

    FAR- 5/11/15 76!!
    AUD-10/31/15 63, 84!
    REG-7/12/16 72
    BEC-8/31/15 75!! Perfect Score!

    My suggestion:

Go over the hardest stuff in Individual Tax and C Corp on Monday or Tuesday.

Then Go over the hardest stuff in S Corp and Partnerships on Mon or Tuesday. Remember not to confuse them.

To give yourself a break just do B-LAW and Ethics MCQ for fun (if needed) and skim notes (if needed) both days.

Or focus on your weakest area and relax next day. Good luck!

I might go through Ninja notes and checkmark everything I'm good with. I don't wanna do a ton of mcq or practice tests because it might psych me out if I miss some mcqs.

Don't do too many practice, just read. I don't think you can ever be ready for this kind of test.

    Far 10/26/2015, 64, 1/4/2016, 82
    Reg 7/10/2015, 60, 2/27/2016, 86
Aud, 5/9/2016, 74 (ouch), 7/26/2016, I cannot wait to take this test again
    Bec, 6/10/2016, 70,9/8 retake

I wouldn't rule out practice tests. Often times in Becker, the granular detail of certain topics aren't covered in the video lectures, but they appear in the homework/MCQ. Also, Becker textbooks will cover the topic and provide one example (often times more than one depending on the topic), but within the MCQ, the topic is tested much harder. So, it's just good to give yourself as many opportunities to familiarize yourself with how these topics are tested. You'll see some MCQ that'll test you on multiple concepts, but the textbook tends to isolate one concept, if I'm making sense.

Don't get psyched out if you miss any questions. Be glad you have another opportunity to learn the material. Plus, if you really don't know a question, look up the answer. You know how the exam is, and I'm sure you don't need to worry about pacing yourself. Your brain is a muscle, and you need to work it out. Practice makes perfect.

I would wake up tomorrow and take a practice test of 80-100 MCQ. Then, flip through your textbook. Review any highlighted passages, hand-written notes, pass keys. I would take another 80-100 cumulative MCQ test tomorrow night before you go to bed. Heck, with how much time you have, you can go through each chapter and take a cumulative batch of MCQ for each chapter. You got this.

    BEC - 85
    AUD - 81
    REG - 84
    FAR - 7/24/16
