    Hi everyone,

I’m attempting to tackle the beast (FAR) in late February. I’m feeling pretty overwhelmed and lost. It feels like I didn’t retain the knowledge from lectures like I did for other exams (even if I didn’t know the answer to some of those questions, I at least had an idea of where to start). Any suggestions on how to tackle this one? I’m using Becker, NINJA 10-point combo, and keeping a notebook with “fact nuggets”.

    A - 67, 64, 92!!
    R - 61, 75!
    B - 80!
    F - 68, 78!! DONE!

FAR takes a while to devour all the material. Depends when you started studying. You HAVE to get through all of it, no matter how long it takes. Mile wide, inch deep. Or you can do what I did. Study 4 months, take the exam, get a 74. Study another 3 months, get another 74. Then by the time you take it for the third time, there's nothing really left to learn … Only have to find ways to keep it in your brain. 🙂 Good luck!

    Licensed Florida CPA:
    B: 71, 73, 79
    A: 83
    R: 78 (expired), 77
    F: 74, 74, 80

    It's finally freaking over.

I am (unfortunately) 2 for 2 on far. 1. Remember that far is where you spent the majority of your time in school. If you paid attention in school, there will be gimmes that you won't need Becker or ninja for. 2. Don't neglect governmental. Certainly don't do governmental at the expense of gaap, but hit your governmental. It will be tested, and there will be some easy points there if you've reviewed it. 3. Use Becker (or anyone else's) final review. Just do one. By the time you work the last section, you'll be very rusty on the first. The review will refresh material that will become easy points on the test and highlight weak areas that you need further review. It turns those “I remember hearing this but I don't quite remember the answer,” questions into easy points. I can't stress number 3 enough. The Becker book is huge. Trying to do a final review on your own is damn near impossible.

Additional question: How did the Becker flashcards and your own improvised flashcards help you with the actual test please?

Do 2 sets of 30 MCQ from progress tests a day. One in the morning and one at night. It'll help you retain information from previous sections. Worked for me

    Becker
    AUD: 98 (4/13)
    BEC: 84 (5/13)
    FAR: 91 (7/13)
    REG: 91 (8/13)
