    Hi all,

I’m a little late to the game getting my act together with starting to pursue the CPA (already 25 with 2 years’ experience in consulting/transaction advisory), but I really want to commit to getting my CPA within the next 12 months. With that in mind, I have my study materials and am ready to get going within the next week or so, but I don’t have a whole lot of context as to which exam I should take first (early 2017) given the changes that are taking place and which exams I would be better off taking in early 2018.

I was hoping that those of you currently studying would have a better pulse on the exam timelines and be able to offer advice on what order I should take the exams in, assuming I start a week from today. I’m working full time with busy seasons coming up from November-Dec, so any help on planning would be great!

If you're already somewhat comfortable with the current tax code, I recommend getting REG done before the changes in 2019. However, you risk failing and having to take the new REG after studying the old. Aside from that always good to get FAR out of the way cause it's the longest to study for.
