I an wondering if any of you have noticed different results based on the time of day you test. I have failed 4 exams now, and each time I have failed, I took the exam starting at 12:00 or later. Each of the 3 I have passed, I have taken the exam starting at 9:00AM or sooner.

Is it just me, or is this somewhat normal? Just curious what others are figuring out about their exam times.

(My AUD exam on Nov. 24 is scheduled for 8:00AM.. Not doing a late exam again)

    BEC: 77
    REG: 54, 76
    FAR: 54, 84
    AUD: 64, 70, 90!
    I'm done!!

I've taken them the first available morning slot and the last afternoon slot, and I never really noticed much difference. I passed some in the morning and I also failed some in the morning.

I will say that I don't sleep all that well anyways the night before the exam, so I preferred the early morning slots. Although, the afternoon slots allowed me to study for a good 5-6 hours that morning before taking the exam.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

    AUD - 93
    BEC - 80
    REG - 86
    FAR - 83

I have only ever done morning tests. I like to get up & get it over with. I cannot imagine taking one after having time all morning to get anxious about it. Now, that being said, my testing center is only about 45 mins away. If it were further I might schedule a later exam.

I get too hungry if I test in the morning. So I need to test in the afternoon right after lunch. I passed 1 exam taking it in the AM and 1 passing in the PM

    REG - 78
    BEC - 83
    FAR - 77
    AUD - 74 (Bulls***), 85

I always take morning exams. I focus better in the morning and am practically useless after lunch (don't tell my boss!). Oddly enough, I study and work really well at night – generally anytime after 8 or 9.

@taxgeek83 I am the exact same way.

I was just curious where other people were at. Maybe not so cut and dry for others, but the results are quite obvious for me as you can see in my signature.

I like afternoon tests. The one time I scheduled a morning test, I showed up and the whole center was down. So it was back to afternoons for me! lol

It's interesting how people work differently. I have a couple of coworkers that can spend an entire morning chatting away about nothing remotely work-related, and then as soon as lunch is over, they are insanely focused. Me? I hang out on A71…. 😉

@Kim – A little off topic, but did you say you are from Oregon? I thought for some reason y'all didn't get scores until about a week after they were released (snail mail state). Did OR switch to Nasba? Congrats on the pass!!

Yep, Oregon. We're a NASBA state now, although not for everything, but we are for scores. I'm not sure when that changed. Thank goodness I haven't had to wait for a letter! ….and thank you!

I prefer 12pm or shortly after that. Primarily because I don’t sleep well the night before so a later start allows me a couple hours in the morning to rest if needed. I also have a high protein breakfast and do three sets of 20 MCQ practice tests to get my mind in test mode. My testing center is 40 minutes away and so far this schedule has worked. I would not do well with an 8 or 9 am, even at my full-time job my brain doesn’t really fire up until 9 or 10. I purposely plan the first 60 – 90 minutes of every workday to be my designated time to return e-mails, review project plans, review my to-do list, check-in with co-workers on projects. I also wouldn’t do well with a late time slot as I’d be anxious all day and sleepy for testing.

I am the same as cpatobe15….test around noon for basically the same reasons. Failed 2 and passed 3 so the results are inconclusive.

My tests have all been 8AMish… I even had to pick a test center further away for my audit exam so I could get in first thing on the day I wanted.

I like to take it at 12 pm or so.

Like this I have time to sleep in, just in case I couldn't fall asleep because I was so effin nervous the night before.

Has been working for me so far, luckily.
