So I am gearing up to study for my BEC re-take and wanted to know, if you fail an exam how long do you take to re-study?

That depends a lot on how well you did on the exam the first time around and how comfortable you are with the material.

If you scored 69-74, you'll be doing fine-tuning on your problem areas. That might take as little as 2-3 weeks.

If you scored below 69, you'll be doing an all-over review while paying special attention to your known trouble areas. This may take 1-2 months depending on the hours per week you have available.

If you are confident in your understanding of the content but feel that it was the writing portion that kicked your butt, you may be able to get away with taking 2-3 weeks to practice writing questions and doing a general refresher of the material.

    Keep at it!

You start over from scratch as if you never took it before. Every window is a completely new exam, so you start like you're studying it for the first time.
