I am planning on taking FAR the first week of October. If I do this, then I can take another exam on the last day (approx) of November. That gives me about 8 weeks to study for an exam. Is their any exam that can study for (using Yaeger) in 8 weeks? If not, just be honest. I have just started using Yaeger for FAR.

You can study for any exam really in 8 weeks if you put in around 20 hours a week.

It really all depends on what else you've got going on in your life, there is no one size fits all answer. Last year I tried to do that and it didn't work out because I work full time, had a part time weekend job, go to school half time for my masters and have 2 kids. Had I not been working the 2nd job, or maybe not been in school I might have passed AUD in November, but as you can see I totally bombed it LOL. It is certainly possible though…….

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

I am married (no children). I work full-time (40 hours per week). And I go to Church. Every service (musician). Do either of you know how many modules are in AUD or BEC for Yaeger?

BEC is 7 modules about 24 hours of lectures and Audit is 6 modules about 20 hours of lectures.

hmmmm….so it might be possible (if I do 1 module per week), do study for AUD using Yaeger in 8 weeks? You think that's smart or not? I may try to do that. That way I can take two exams before the year is up.

I did BEC in about a month and passed comfortably – while working full-time and I'm married with 2 kids. Trying the same for AUD now – however, things not looking so good this time. For BEC, I took a whole week off work just before the exam but now that won't be possible. Hoping AUD will be easier and I can wing it! For FAR – no way – I took well over 3 months – and this when I had covered about 50% of the material before – started FAR and then chickened out and took BEC instead. So, definitely, I think even both are possible in one window – IF you are disciplined.

katyuser….you sound like you are good with the Yaeger materials. How do you use them? I watch the lectures, then do the MCQ and SIMS that are Required. Then, I do them two more times, before moving to the next module.

    Future,

I use Becker – I watch the lectures and then the MCQs once before moving on. I then try to do it the whole thing again after I have finished – for FAR, I could not do all the questions again. I never studied the SIMs – I started for FAR and got really discouraged – everywhere I read everybody said the real SIMs are so much harder than Becker's -and here I was having trouble with Becker's SIMs! So I just gave up and concentrated on the concepts.
