I’m waiting for BEC and REG scores to come out this month and I think all the anxiety has gotten to me. I’ve gained a few pounds eating out of stress, which obviously doesn’t make me feel too great about the way I look, but I also feel tired constantly – even just thinking about taking the 10 minute walk to a nearby grocery store gets me tired. I thought studyinf for the tests were tough but apparently the mental struggle is even tougher…Anyone in similar situation??

The exams have made my stress level go haywire. I was working out every weekday morning for 1 hour attempting to stay healthy and relieve stress. Unfortunately, I lost the mental war with stress and feeling tired all the time. I did not realize it was stress, and went to the Doctor because I knew something was wrong. I now have a bottle of Xanax to take as needed when my stress levels begin to have an affect on me. I take 1 at night maybe 1 to 2 times a moth for the release.

    CPA EXAM: DONE!!!!
    Ethics Course: Passed
    Application Mailed: 3/16/15
    Professional Conduct Exam: 97
    Certification Date: 4/2/15!!!

During testing I had to use the breaks between testlets to go get sick in the bathroom. Almost didn't make it out of the testing room during REG. The stress from the exams and from my employer were taking a HUGE toll on my health and sanity. Another Ninja recommended I use the box breathing technique and it has worked wonders. I have to keep myself in check, especially at the start of the exams and the week before score release. I don't study during that time and do other things that keep me busy. For example I did a tile backsplash in my kitchen, laid a travertine patio, and tiled my kitchen and dining room floors. Power tools help me get by….and I'm a female. I've also painted multiple rooms and have taken the courses to volunteer for the IRS' VITA tax program. Anything to get my mind off of the CPA exams (and my now former workplace). Take a step back and reassess where you are, where you want to be, and what you can do to keep sane getting there.

    FAR: 74, 83
    REG: 76
    BEC: 77
    AUD: 89

Are you getting that anxious about beating the 90's you've received on prior tests?

Thanks for sharing your stories you guys, I feel frustrated as though I'm not mentally strong enough. It is somewhat reassuring I'm not alone here.

@cbones1979 – Nah as long as I pass I don't care about my scores. I think I'm more anxious because I have to leave my current job in a few months and I'd much rather leave with cpa passed than without it.

Sat for BEC on a Monday, could barely work on Tuesday and had to call in Wednesday because I literally could not get out of bed (woke up at 1:00pm). You are definitely not alone. Hang in there 🙂

@CPAinprogress, I have a suspicion you crushed it

@brooks303, I think BEC was the easiest Exam. You'll be fine
