I’m spent. My brain is completely fried. I haven’t been taking any breaks between my actual test exams. I sit for FAR this Tuesday. It’s a retake so I only gave myself four weeks. I’m waiting on my AUD score, which I took October 1st, and am trying to take BEC November 30th. I wanted to take three exams this window and just be done with this. I’ve been doing this exactly a year, and have only passed one section. I’m starting to realize, I could either pass them all this window, or fail them all and be back at square one. I’m nervous to fail FAR again on Tuesday, and that I have already failed AUD. I don’t feel super unprepared for FAR. I’ve done all the Becker MCQs once, all the Wileys once, and about 6 full on exams in Wiley. Wrote out notes, wrote out JE’s twice. My scores are in the 70’s. But I’m burnttttt. My eyes wouldn’t even stay opened today I had to lay down and passed out as if I was in a coma for an hour. I want to start working in January, and I could potentially put off BEC until January 2nd (there’s a slot open)… This means studying through Christmas, but maybe I should take an extra week for FAR just to be safe? I’m sorry to vent, whine, sound emotional, but my brain.is.hurting. Should I just nut up and take FAR on Tuesday, or just to be safe push it-along with BEC? I honestly don’t think I passed AUD..

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

If you feel like you can squeak out 8 more points, I think if you can afford it, go for it. You never know what could happen. You might be done with it then.

    AUD - 88
    FAR - 90
    REG - 85
    BEC - 88

I feel like it's such a mental game though, and if I'm not mentally prepared it will chew me up and shit me out—again– like back in July. I know I scored a 67 and am only 8 points off, but I had to guess on sooo much on that exam… It's 88 bucks to reschedule, I might just pay it–it's cheapter than another 300 for a retake..

    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

Just go in there and do the best you can. And most importantly, finish the exam. Do not quit and walk out in the middle! In fact, the AICPA wants you to do that because those difficult testlets are murder. But don't give them the satisfaction. Just do the best you can and do whatever you can to complete the whole exam. You can do this. I'm pulling for you.

I'm in the same position as you. I'm cramming for REG in only 4 weeks just so I can be done with all of this. Only 2 more to pass!!! Err.

Anyways, good luck! I know you'll do just fine.

Peanut – Sounds like you are actually in good shape. Maybe take a day off to recharge your batteries then do 1 final review over the last couple days and work weak areas. I'm taking FAR again in a week and I”m scoring in the 60's…hope to get where you are by next week. I'm taking Aud 11/29 and then hopefully done. Nut up!

    BEC (11/10) 77 (Bisk)
    FAR 7/2 - 63 11/5 - 80 (Yeager - Fail, Becker - Pass)
    Reg (08/11) - 78 (Yeager)
    Aud - 11/29 - 78(Yeager)

@Peanut, I said you do it 🙂 you can do it. I took Becker Practice exam 1 and 2 and scored around 70% as well and I passed. I mean you don't want to torture yourself for another month or months. Best of luck!!

I say go for it. you got a 67 and WALKED out before you completed the SIMS. If you would have completed at least 1 sim you could have scored at 75. I think you are smarter than you think and will do fine. I would hate to have to study during Christmas. Don't worry about AUD (I should talk I am terrified about REG) just keep going and whatever happens happens. All you can do is try your best 🙂

    FAR 76
    REG 76(2x)
    BEC FAILED (2x)
    AUD FAILED (2x)

Peanut – what did you decide to do?

Thanks for checking in @pacific1 🙂 I think that this process takes a toll on you mentally/physically/emotionally. I feel prepared, but not mentally if that makes any sense. I'm going to post-pone, just until next Saturday. I know it's $88 bucks for just a few days. But hey, I think it will make a difference. I still need to iron out my week areas, re-write some JE's, and gain more confidence. I think that a week from today I will be more than ready. As for BEC, I don't think that 3 1/2 weeks will be enough time–so I'll probably have to move that to January 2nd :/ .. Treat it like a marathon, not like a race. Thanks for the support 🙂

By the way, I haven't taken one day off since August–literally, studying 7 days a week. So today I decided to treat myself to a day off. I think it will help me reboot, and I will be ready to put in my all this next week! FAR is going down!

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67

Well my thought is if you are not going to be able to take BEC IN 3 1/2 weeks and are going to move it to January and are going to pay the postponing fee for FAR why not move the test out to the end of the testing window to allow more time for yourself?

(Just went to go reschedule and Saturday was taken so November 7th it is) Well that was my thought for FAR… Pushing this a week, means that I had 5 weeks to restudy. That's what I took for REG and bumped my score 20 points. I don't want to push it too much, I feel pretty ready and I think the extra week will top it off. I think pushing it farther in the window will ruin my sanity! Kind of want to pull the band-aid off and just do it! I do this full time, so a full week–I can get a crap load done. Hmm I wonder if anyone has taken 3 weeks for BEC and has passed.. lol

    @Peanut,

Well, I am a little late on this reply. As I was reading all the posts, I was thinking, that you should postpone.. Only because the mental part of this game is vital to success. I understand that because it is what troubles me most. Then I read further and see that you did postpone. I am sure that the extra week gave you some needed relief and will help pump up your confidence. I think we are both in the same position in terms of studying full time, etc. I had budgeted that I would be working by now, so I am a bit off schedule. I hadn't counted on failing both REG and Audit this last window. I am focusing on getting REG out on Tuesday and then study for Audit for Nov 23. But in the meantime, I am looking for a job. Not exactly how I would have planned it, but sometimes you have to roll with the punches.

I think it sounds like you know what it takes to pass and you are doing all the right things to get there. I think you will clobber FAR on the 7th…just like you did REG! Enjoy your day off and then finish strong.

You have alot of people rooting for you!

@Peanut. I think 3 1/2 weeks is definitely doable. I did it in 2 weeks and passed with an 82. It was murder but possible. Ive tried the whole studying over the christmas. And it resulted with a wonderful retake. it sounds like you have a great study method and will do well.

    Related Question!

I am thinking of changing the test date, but for different reasons. My plan is to take REG on 1/3/12 & BEC on 1/7/12. But, it has been really tough to study with my busy work schedule. I am thinking to take one of them in the next testing window instead so that I won't go insane (as in either April/May).

Between REG & BEC, which test is anticipated to have less changes? I am trying to see which test will less likely be affected by the delay, so any advice will be appreciated. Thanks!!
