    Hi there!

I just had a friend take FAR on 7/20/2015. I take it the 27th. Does anyone know if the SIMS and questions overall will be similar? I’ve seen in the past friends that have taken tests and got the same questions in the same window.

    Any info would be appreciated!

Considering you are not supposed to discuss exam questions, no one should know if questions are repeated or not…

chances of the same question is very slim. There is no easy way around this, we have to study if we're going to pass. Our review materials give us plenty of examples of questions, because someone might get the same question (which I doubt) doesn't mean you will get them correct. Point? don't worry about it, just be prepared to take the test and pass, what ever questions they give.

There will probably be some of the same questions (my friend and I took AUD a week apart and after we had both taken it my friend asked me if I saw a few sims like his and I did), but if you are getting information directly from your friend you are risking getting banned from taking the test for life and/or criminal and civil penalties. Plus, it's a disservice to everyone who put in the hours to study for it.

I agree. I always believed they were all completely different. I was sticking to the safest bet and just studying everything.

Discussing specifics of the exam is, something you agree not to do on the first screen you see at Prometric. And of course the exam is very similar if not exact during a testing window. If every exam was unique the AICPA would cash in on letting you take the exam multiple times per window.
