I’m thinking about taking REG on 8/14 which is the last day of the testing window. If I took it on this day, would I be included in this window, or is there a chance I could be moved to the next window? Has anyone taken the exam on the last day and received their scores in the window they took the exam in?

I dont' have any personal experience with this, but it says on the NASBA website that if you want to me sure you're included you should aim to test two days before the window closes. This is because it can take up to 24 hours for the AICPA to receive your scores.

how is 8/14 the last day of testing window? wouldn't it be 8/31?

@Cannot, I'm referring to the second wave in Q3. In order to get scores by August 22nd, the results have to be received by August 14th. If I took the exam between August 15th and August 31st, then scores would be received on September 10th.

I ended up moving to August 13th my upcoming BEC exam b/c it says that “AICPA must receive by 14th” (thru working hours of 14th). Thus, if taken later in the day on 14th or overseas or some other unpredictable mishap can push score release into NEXT window.

I took BEC on the last day of the testing window in Q4 2012 and took REG the next to last day in the release cutoff for Q2 2013. Both times I received my score with those release waves.

I'm taking BEC on August 14 at 11:30a (although I always get there at least an hour early and my Prometric center is super cool about letting me start early). Hopefully my exam gets to the AICPA by the end of the day!!!

@icanhazcpa I've read the same, so have decided not to take any chances and schedule and extra 3rd day before the end of the window to make sure I'm good.
