I haven’t taken an exam yet. I read somewhere as soon as you put in your NTS number on the screen, you have 10 minutes to start the exam. Do they make you put in your NTS number as soon as you sit down? I would like to spend about 20 minutes before the time starts running writing down some things that will assist me in the exam, but I don’t know if they allow that.

When I get in and sit at my computer nothing is even started, no clock is ticking. They say, click OK (or whatever) when you are ready. Only after that 10 minutes thing starts. I don't see why you can't write things down, nobody ever warned me about it.

You are allowed to write things down before your exam starts, however, if you zone out and the 10 minutes run out then you cant take your test. It happened to a fried of mine. The computer locks up and she could not log in to take her test. The prometric person told her she waited too long and even pointed out that it was because she was writing down her notes. The prometric lady did try to log her into a different computer but it would not let her take the test.

I have always been afraid of the 10 minute clock so i do my brain dump after I start my test.

    AUD - 73, 72 retake 7/2/2016
    BEC - 8/20/2016
    REG - TBD
    FAR - TBD

I am so ready for this nightmare to be over. Been at this way too long.

The lady that i had at prometric testing center just this past week specifically told me not to write anything down before I logged in. Not sure why. You may want to confirm with NASBA. I def would be scared of locking myself out after 10 min. Once i get the first question and it is USUALLY an easy one and I answer it in like 2 seconds then i use the extra time to jot down extra things I know i will forget. Only do it for things u know you easily forget such as ratios, depreciation methods, mnemonics,etc..

    BEC - 76 (1/24/15)
    REG - 82 (4/13/15)
    AUD - 89 (5/31/15)
    FAR - 78 (8/16/15)

Starting right now I'll be strong
    I'll play my fight song
And I don't really care if nobody else believes
'Cause I've still got a lot of fight left in me
