So recently I found out I failed FAR for the 4th time, my REG expired, and my BEC will expire very soon too. By the time I pass FAR I’m sure AUD will have expired too. I’m actually considering finding a new job for now and maybe waiting a bit before I start studying for FAR again. I just feel like I have almost zero motivation to study right now and maybe a short break will put my mind back in focus. Overall I’m not too worried about the other 3 sections expiring (except for the money part obviously) because I feel like I can pass those a 2nd time without too much worry, it’s just the FAR section that’s given me the most grief.
So my question is, has anyone here taken a break after they failed a section and their other credits expired and then retaking them all after that break? If so, how long of a break did you have? I’m sure there are many possible reasons people would do this, i.e. family or medical issues. Of course I wouldn’t want to wait too long to retake but right now I’m questioning whether I even want to go through with a CPA.
