Hi guys so Score Release was not a good day for me, I scored a 66 and I scored a 65 on AUD previously and at first I was down and considered alternate options to what I could with my profession since I’m only 24 but I honestly looked deep down and now I’m F****** Pissed. I’m angry, its like this exam is punching me in the face repeatedly and I can either turtle up or get up and start throwing lefts and rights. That’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to make this test my B**** just like GSP did in all of his title defenses (sorry had to make an MMA reference). I used the Ninja 10 point combo and while I do feel it helped, it just seems I need a little something more. Are there study groups in NY or classes? I know Becker has the live lectures for 8 straight hours but I’m not sure if I could mentally handle that much at once. Please give any advice you’ve got because this is personal to me now and I want this badly enough that’ll I’ll lose a few battles but in the end I’ll win and my arm will be raised! Sorry that this is long and drawn out, I’m just venting as I don’t know who to turn to at the moment, no one in my life really understands what its like to go through this…..

    AUD: (65)(66) 77
REG: (66) (48) destroyed me mentally.....
    FAR: (68) (66)(69)(71)
    BEC: (63) 75

“Do as many MCQ as you can, preferably from Wiley. I took AUD 2/20 6 days after taking BEC, went through 1500 MCQ and got an 86. My previous AUD scores were 64 and 68.

    Get Wiley and drill!! “

This. This will also be my approach for retake (passed 75 first try, expired).

    AUD - 75*, 88 done 5/14! (*exp)
    BEC - 74 , 77
    REG - 65 , 76 (10 point combooo!!)
    FAR - 69 , 75

Everyone here knows you're not an idiot, so no need for that.

Save your tutoring more for FAR, that's sound advice right here. Realistically though, you don't need tutoring, you need understanding through repetition.

Do you have Wiley Test Bank? Get it from Jeff – there's a discount coupon floating around here if you ask him nicely – buy Wiley test bank and DRILL those MCQ's identify your wear areas and hit those again. IMO, WTB is MORE than worth it's price… and by WTB I mean the whole 10 point combo. If you want to give it an honest try, get the combo, get the notes, listed to the audio, do the WTB. You WILL boost your score.

When you watch the lectures, do you retain information? Personally, I don't learn well from watching lectures, so I skip that part. If you're the same way, it'll save you time to cut those out.

If you're taking notes, make sure they're meaningful and not just copying what's in the text. When I take notes, a lot of times I end up copying the text and I'm not taking anything in, they should be used as a tool for retaining information, not for trying to learn it later. If you're taking notes and you don't understand the underlying concepts, spend more time in that area. Do a google search, post questions on another71, etc.

With the MCQ questions, I found that I was able to get more useful and efficient work done by going through them in Study Mode as opposed to Test Mode. I used Gleim software, so I'm not familiar with how Becker is setup. Basically, with the study mode I would get immediate feedback on my answers. If I got the question wrong, I read why I got the question wrong then looked at the other options to figure out the differences. If I got the question right, I made sure to also look at other answers I thought could have been right to see why they were wrong. Sometimes doing MCQ's takes a bit of luck as you try to choose the best one. Make sure you understand why your answer is better than the others before moving on. After doing enough MCQ's I could identify patterns with why I was getting questions wrong. Usually it was something like misreading the question or not understanding the difference between two terms. By the time I finished MCQs, I was able to change the way I approached those questions.

I'm not familiar with Becker, so I don't know how many practice sims are available, nor how many you did. If you feel you struggle with the simulations, and need to do more. I see that Gleim has Sim packages they sell for $100 each section. Should give you about 60 or so sets of practice sims. I used them and they did a good job preparing me for the types of questions I'd see on the exam.

Have you considered using flash cards? Could be a useful tool to help quiz yourself on harder topics and as a review tool leading up to the exam. I haven't had much use for these during these tests, but is another potential tool.

Otherwise, I don't have any other suggestions I can give for audit. I worked as an auditor for 6 years prior to taking the exam, so I had a bit of an advantage for this particular section. Hard for me to give tips on learning the content. Hope this helps you out!
