I used Gleim for BEC and REG and passed them both last year. Since I was successful with Gleim, I purchased it again for FAR and AUD. I just got my FAR score (I took the exam end of Feb/2011) and failed with a 61. I’m not sure if Gleim is as effective with the FAR section as it was for BEC and REG because I studied for FAR way more than I studied for BEC and REG and didn’t pass.

Any suggestions for reviewing these sections –FAR and AUD? Thanks!

I guess I should add that I have purchased the entire Becker Review twice and was unsuccessful with this review material.

I too failed FAR on my first attempt using Gleim. However, Gleim is great AFTER you fail an exam. Look at your report from your failed exam. Line up Gleim's chapters to correspond to the AICPA sections for FAR. You can really nail down your weak areas in FAR, and the other exams, using this approach.

Yaeger for FAR, REG and BEC has no equal. Becker is very good for memorization, but Becker is not very good for problem solving. It took me 5 months to study FAR. I completed Yaeger and then Becker for FAR. I had no problem passing FAR, REG and BEC.

AUD is just memorization and a very tricky word game. Lambers, with Garland as the teacher, has the best lecture out there and Becker has the best memorization tools. I combined Lambers with Becker and I did 3,000 multiple choice questions to pass AUD.

Becker is not for everyone. If any of you guys fail using Becker, move on with a new review course. Never give up!

Thanks for the advice! I have noticed that a lot of people use a combination of 2 or more review products to pass the exam. I have only used one review product at a time.

In addition to Gleim, I am thinking about buying a “cram” review or something like that this time around. Crossing my fingers for FAR –I am taking it again May 2nd .

If you want a cram course for FAR, I would suggest Yaeger Cram for FAR. Do not forget to use Gleim for your weak areas, as shown on your grade report from the AICPA.

Have you used any of Yaeger CRAM courses? I'm currently studying FAR using Roger's review course and I'm feeling a little overwhelmed at the moment. I was considering a CRAM course to pull it altogether…. hopefully that'll help me get passed a 75. UGH. This is my first time taking FAR and there's a lot of material to cover. My exam isn't until May 21st, so hoping I have time to review the MCQs at least twice. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!
