Studying with only an iPad

I just started studying a few weeks ago for FAR using CPAexcel. After going back to do some MCQs that I got wrong 4 days earlier, I did bad again and I realized the information isn’t sticking. I was just watching videos, reading the text, and working the problems. I’m now thinking I’m going to start from scratch using the ELL and NINJA method.

Anyways, I am growing increasingly nervous and after answering those MCQs again I’m having even more doubts. I’m going to stick with the ELL and NINJA for now and see how I do when I sit for the first time. I want to be proactive though and find out what people suggests for supplementing CPAexcel if I need to.

The problem is I only own an iPad right now, no PC. What options would be off the table due to compatibility with the iPad? I have 1 year of access to Wiley test bank that came with CPAexcel, but I have not activated it yet. I thought I read something about Wiley and some of the NINJA products not working on iPad. I tried looking at the free NINJA notes to get an idea of what those were like, but got an error about not being able to open them in Safari. Thanks for any suggestions or opinions.

The NINJAs work on the iPad in iBooks. I may need to send the PDF if you don't have a desktop to unzip.

Ninja notes work in Ipad. Wiley Test bank works in a virtual internet explorer, like Mozila Firefox virtual or Cloud Browse. This combination is the best!

Ninja notes is the best for your Ipad. You can use Nina Notes with pdf app and Wiley Test Bank with a special internet browse. I use my Ipad 1 with Mozilla FoxVirtual internet browse or Cloud Internet Browse to use Wiley Test Bank. The price of Mozilla is like $5.

You can use an app like Documents from Readdle to open zip files or a file manager or zip file opener app.

Thanks for the tips, and thanks for clearing that up Jeff!

I've decided to go with the Ninja audio right away. The combo is a bit much after investing $1700 on CPAexcel. This whole process is adding up fast, lol. But I figure, way wait and risk failing? Even if the audio saves me from 1 retake, it would almost pay for itself.

Jeff, in another thread I saw that you said to bring the mp3 up in iTunes then sync to an iPhone. I plan on putting it on my iPhone and iPad, but is there a way to do this without using a computer and syncing? Sorry, I have never really used iTunes at all so I'm not sure if I can get the mp3 directly to the iPad. If all else fails, i might be able to do everything at work. Thanks for the help.

If you download Virtual Chrome for your ipad you can access the Wiley test bank.

CPA Review for Free has an app that is only $10.00 for over 600 MCQs. Personally, I have the Wiley Focus notes & Wiley test bank apps downloaded which was a total of $100. I really like them both, I travel occasionally for work and that has made studying while on a plane a lot easier because you dont need an internet connection.
