    I take BEC on 2/27/15

Any helpful pointers or suggestions ?

I’m asking because it took me 3 times to pass Audit and 4 times to pass FAR.

I want to pass BEC on the 1st try.

I need to do something different

    AUD--52,68,83, expired. Retake = 74 RETAKE - 7.24.26
    FAR--73,70,68,75
    BEC-- 79
    REG-- 68,62,75

ok – 2/27 is a LOT of time!! Are you in review mode or still going over the material? Also, what study materials are you using? I need to know this info before I can give advice LOL – its my method of helping with BEC (which I passed on my first try, luckily!).

    I'm using Ninja MC's —

but I also have all the Becker 2014 MCs in PDF

and thinking about getting the Ninja Audio for BEC

Definitely get some audio and listen to it wherever you go … commuting, running errands, working out, etc. Listen to things repeatedly. It makes a difference.

In general, this is a hard question to answer because not everyone is the same in terms of how they learn and retain information. I'm very, very good at memorizing things, but that's not the best way for me to LEARN. I am a visual learner. I draw diagrams of concepts that are not intuitive to me so that I can better understand how everything fits together. I read a section of text and then sketch out a diagram that helps me see and understand the relationships. I keep all of my diagrams in a binder and review them constantly. It takes mere seconds to look them over, but visualizing the relationship of A to B and B to C seems to cause the concepts to stick better than just reading about them.

This may or may not work for you, but if you've failed your exam sections multiple times before passing, I'd agree that something is amiss with your studying methods, so it may be worth a shot. Google “sketchnoting,” and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I highly recommend the audio for BEC – definitely do that today and start listening all the time!

Have you made a list of all the formulas for BEC? If not, start that list and then re-write that list 67 times. Formulas are KEY (ratio analysis, variance!!!)

Also, read in becker COSO at least 5 full times (it's not a lot of pages), plus the audio will help with this.

Read the IT chapter in becker in FULL, taking notes on things you don't understand! Then do questions that correlate to that topic.

COSO and IT alone can be a lot of your exam.

Spend time on variances, COSO, IT and all formulas!!

How many formulas do you have written down. Is it just from b1-b3?
