Studying schedule advice

Howdy everyone! I started studying for FAR a week ago, aiming to take the test in late November (ideally week of Thanksgiving if there’s an open timeslot). However, I’m having some trouble putting together an efficient study schedule. I’m the type of person to overstudy and focus on learning every detail because it frustrates me to not understand something (which is the wrong way to approach FAR, I know).

I’m using Wiley and have been keeping up with assignments so far, but I feel I’m studying too much. I do an hour of Mcq practice before work, at lunch, and then 3-4 hours of learning at night. I’d like to cut out the morning hour since my brain is just too tired to think and I often get simple things that I know wrong, or have no idea how to approach something. Lunch study hour is fine, and I’m wondering if I should just learn the material for 2-3 hours at night and practice during lunch the next day.

Sorry for the ramble, but any advice is much appreciated! Also, would it be a good idea to save SIMS for the weeks before the exam? I have a 6 hour one scheduled for today but I feel it would be smarter to start learning consolidations…my new game plan idea is that it’s better to focus on learning the material earlier, doing a weekly review or something, and hammering the MCQ’s and SIMS in the weeks prior to the exam. Thanks in advance!

I am not sure there such a thing as studying too much, especially for FAR.
(Well technically my 250 hours was too much considering the score, but it still didn't feel like enough)
efficient study time is probably more important than wasted hours, so if you think you can cover the material without that extra hour in the morning, go for it.
I would probably try to get a solid 25 hours a week for 8-10 weeks
Some SIMs are okay to leave to the end, some SIMs will help you reinforce concepts as you go. Hard to say which is which really.
I would not leave MCQs until the end, those need to be a constant part of your plan, unless you are going to cram the videos and then just hammer MCQs for the rest of the 6 weeks ish

cumulative review is crucial, especially for FAR, and I would encourage you to hit some cumulative questions once a week to keep the old stuff fresh. I was blown away with home much I forgot over only 8 weeks when I got to my review phase.
