    I was not pleased with my far performance and almost certain I didn’t pass. I am trying to capitalize on the next test window by studying for far and reg together. Has anyone taken on two parts in one window? Pros and cons.

    Two part is one window is very feasible, but I would advise studying for them one at a time. Like, study for REG now, schedule it for the start of October, and after you get back your score and know for sure if you passed or failed, schedule FAR for the end of November if needed…or schedule a different test for the end of November. Doesn't have to be Oct 1 and Nov 30, but the closer you are to the start and end, the more time you'll have to study for Test 2…and you've got almost 2 months till Oct 1, so if you actually had Oct 1 and Nov 30 test dates, you'd basically have 2 months for each test. That might even be a bit more time than needed, but is definitely reasonable! I'm doing FAR and AUD in this window – passed FAR, working on getting ready for AUD. πŸ™‚

    FAR and REG together sounds brutal. Is is too late to consider moving forward to AUD? I think AUD would work better since its less material and many FAR concepts will return in AUD, especially the sims.

    in June I went through all the material for FAR then all of AUD then took the tests a week apart once the testing window opened. It is totally doable, but REG is a lot of material.. you might forget all of FAR in the process!

    @GO Hawks Impressive to take them a week apart like that – especially with the scores you have! I've been too scared to try simultaneous studying for the CPA…I have for other tests, but not the CPA. Bravo to you. πŸ™‚

    thx, Im a recent grad, work hasn't started yet and i don't have kids πŸ™‚ suffering through a few 14 hour study days can expedite the process. I am more impressed by those working AND studying. In my opinion, those of us studying full time have no excuse not to pass.

    @goshawks,

    point taken. I'm not currently working and I see the exam cannot be approached casually. Got time..need to pass.
