Studying for the next exam before getting results

    Hi all,

I just took my 3rd exam (AUD) today…I feel okay about it. I know I missed a few MCQ questions. Had 2 weirdly worded sims. The rest were straight-foward…moderate to difficult, but straight-forward directions. Anyways, according to the score release timeline I will not get scores until 12/19(NINJA) or 12/20(AICPA). I am struggling on deciding whether to start studying for my next exam (REG) — or wait until I find out about AUD. I feel like if I find out by the 20th that I failed AUD, I should take it again before REG…

    Thoughts??

I am – and have in the past – done just this. I passed all except for FAR. I'm taking FAR on Friday and you can be sure that come Monday morning, I'm going to be reviewing materials and taking practice exams each night until the 20th. If I do fail, time is of the essence so I'd rather hit the road running.

This isn't for everyone, only those who'd realize that it's a “whatever it takes” situation until you pass all four.

    AUD - 75*, 88 done 5/14! (*exp)
    BEC - 74 , 77
    REG - 65 , 76 (10 point combooo!!)
    FAR - 69 , 75

    Dr: intelligence
    Dr: luck
    . Cr: . advisory score

I studied for FAR while waiting for AUD. It felt fine to get my mind off of the AUD exam! Now, I have spaced my exams so I don't really have to do that and I can take a break and spend a lot of time agonizing over my score on A71.

    AUD - 7/5/13 - 93
    FAR - 8/24/13 - 91
    BEC - 11/30/13 - 92
    REG - 2/24/14 - 91! DONE!

I would say to go ahead and study for REG and take it in January sometime. Your scores are great and suggest that you are doing everything right. It will be great for you to get the exams completed before busy season hits in earnest.

I take breaks between each test. I also schedule my exams so I have the shortest wait time for the results. I am not someone that can jump right into studying for another test immediately after taking a test. It really depends on you. My suggestion would be to retake AUD (if you failed) before you take REG. I would also not test during the busy season if that is going to create a significant amount of stress for you. Assuming you passed AUD then you have a good amount of time before you have to pass REG. The exam is stressful enough without trying to cram everything into a short period of time. I agree with whoever said you obviously know what it takes to pass and pass with high scores. Awesome job!!

I'm gonna be starting FAR on Monday because I can't study while waiting for the BEC score that I'll get on Saturday (HOPEFULLY I AM NOT BUBBLE!) There's no way I can start.

    AUD: 84
    REG: 84
    BEC: 79
    FAR: 83
