    Hi All,

I’m in the information gathering stage at the moment and I was hoping to get feedback from you all on the best study/review material for the CPA exam. The only one I heard of during college was the Becker. Now I’m seeing Wiley, Yaeger, etc and I don’t know which to choose. I’ll bite the bullet on Becker, but would prefer something more cost effective if it will get the job done.

Here is a brief backgroud summary:

-Graduated College about 4 years ago with BBA in accounting. Worked full time while in college and graduated with honors thanks to pretty good study habits.

-I work as a financial analyst so I use some accounting; enough where I don’t feel I’ve lost a lot of knowledge.

-I would like a ‘study at your own pace’ type of review. Something I can sit down at my cpu anytime of day and plug away.

Please offer your opinions. Thanks in advance.

I'm talking about only my experience (Maybe others are happy with the system, so you can have your own criteria)

I bought CPA Excel because I found it online (I didn't know so much about other reviews) and the way the pulled me to buy the software was because I was international student and they would help to find the best state, but I had to buy the whole stuff and I was not sure because I didn't know the review so I bought only FAR.

At the end I searched by myself and found and was accepted by an State that fits my experience and education.

But in a travel to the US I bought the book of Wiley from amazon and notes from Wiley because they were updated with 2013 (CPA Excel is really confusing even in the updates)

I realized that CPA excel is really a fake copy of Wiley. They put everything “summarized” but don't explain in detail.

When I started Wiley I found it was a dictionary! So much information but, it was very useful.

I asked here about experiences and they referred Wiley a lot.

Now, I'm designing my strategy to study FAR and I will invest my time in Wiley (studying 4 hours per day + weekends) and supplement with Exammatrix (a review that is only based in questions) and Wiley test bank.

Today I was happy to see that I retain good from Wiley because I do my notes etc.

I heard Becker is good, I might keep an eye on that as well.

    Wish you good luck!
