Let us join and study for the CPA common goal. How many hours are you going to study this week? I am planning to study at least 4 hours per day and complete 20 hours for this week.

Anyway, while I am stumbling through the FAR…oh …the Intercompany transactions are the beast. Not much explanations for this part in the becker book and the questions with depreciation were hard to do…did anyone feel this way about this part? or may be I am the one feel this way?

    Thanks and good Luck.

@Yankee, I hate those final exams! We know better not to do them… I'll probably end up giving in and doing one of Friday. I'm feeling pretty good so far!

@JoMarie, I clocked in 8 hours so far. I'm done doing MCQs for the day. Did two practice exams in Wiley, one random MCQs, the other “90 bookmarked questions” The rest of the night I'm going to write out more JE's .. My brain hurts 🙁

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67

@ Peanut – my brain would hurt too!!

I'm calling it a night. I reviewed Jeff's NINJA notes for about another hour, I started to dose. I'm taking that as a sign to call it a night. I don't want to be dosing while taking Audit tomorrow. Of course I'll study more in the am before my exam. Good night all!!

    Monday:3 hours

@rmm91909, sounds like a plan…we've sure got a lot to do in 5 weeks. I think I just crammed what will be the hardest one (for me) into the smallest amount of studying time for any of the sections I've taken.

5 hours down today, hope to get 3 more tonight.

I took a week of vacation in mid-November from work. Hate that I'm burning a vacation week so I can study, but oh well. Then, my wife and kids are leaving from the 22nd until the 30th to see her family. I think she finally realized I suck to be around the week before an exam, and it's better to get out of dodge (joking). I'd rather study than go to the in-laws anyways (not joking). So, yeah, my next five weeks are gonna suck donkey nuts.

For those using Yaeger, my gawd Cindy, Sloooooow down! I couldn't imagine playing her at 1.3x speed. I've never been so happy to see Phil again. Although, she does know her stuff.

World Series game will be on mute tonight. Back to it, internet disconnect time, been a big fan of unplugging the router lately.

    BEC - 77 (exp. 2/23/12)
    REG - 75
    AUD - 74
    FAR - 11/29/11

@Macc I agree we have our work cut out for us. My BEC credit expires on 11/30 and I could potentially be done after FAR next month. Well depending on my BEC score from this month. ahh! I hear ya, my husband doesn't think I am too fun to be around that week either 🙂 this exam doesn't exactly bring out the best in all of us.

    Good luck jomarie!!!

Best of luck tomorrow on Audit!!!!!

    @Peanut

You are right…don't know why I did it. I did a simulated exam on my first day of final review and got a 70%. Not great but ok, that dang b-law was giving me trouble. I just got the Roger cram today…he is so funny! I am sure he is annoying to many people, but after Becker and Yaeger, it is a nice change of pace. Hey, are you going to break out your Halloween costume from last year?!

    @Rmm91909

I hope FAR is moving along for ya!!

How's it going with everyone with your study goals for this week? So far I'm at:

    Monday : 3 hours

Tuesday: 2 hours (Exam Day with Audit)

Wednesday: 1 hour (Started on FAR)

Thursday: 1 1/2 hours (so far)

I'm a little behind my goal of 20 for the week. But considering I had Audit on Tuesday, I don't think I'm to far off. I took Tuesday night off from studying but I did get myself organized for FAR. Wednesday morning, I treated myself to sleeping in. Isn't it sad to call waking up at 6am sleeping in??

    Good luck with everyone's goals!!

@yankeeaccountant hahahah!! I'm actually not doing Halloween this year 🙁 I've lived in NYC the last 4 years, so the last 4 years have been crazy Halloweens. I can afford to lose out this year and study FAR.

@JoMarie–How did you feel after AUD? I thought it was tricky…. I don't think I passed, or I came close but not enough 🙁 What's the plan of attack for FAR? I'm retaking Tuesday!

I felt good about Audit, but as you know with these tests, you can never tell. As for FAR, right now I'm going through all of the lectures with Roger, then I'm going to work on MCQs and review notes. I don't really have much time, but I hope I have enough time to do that.

    How's it going for you?

It's going alright :/ Taking Wiley exams scoring in the 70's.. Would like to be scoring higher. I just went back into my Becker program to do a little clean up–I had some sections that I missed 5-10 questions on initially.. Those questions just kicked my butt and killed my confidence. Up until today I was starting to feel okay about this. Did you feel your testlets increase with difficulty/wordyness in AUD? Really think I might have messed that one up too…

I'm where I wanted to be at hour wise ~ 20-25 hours so far this week, but I'm no where near I want to be at with my memory retention of what I just learned.

I'm into Mod 10 Inventory now and actually recall a lot of this info from Intermediate Acct, which is a huge releif.

I'm thinking that Mod 9 in Wiley is something I need to flip back and forth to as I go through the rest of the modules and then revisit it completely after completion of all of them. That's my new modification to my game plan.

Friday plan: Complete Mod 10 Inventory

Saturday plan: 6-8 hours of MCQ's of Mod 9 & Mod 10 on Wiley test bank and book.

By midnight Saturday I aim to have a clue with what's going on…

    AUD - 74

    Yikes,

I am right in there with my hours (probably over), but I feel like Macc Grad, I am not sure if my retention is where it should be. Today, I am struggling a bit. I have REG on Tuesday and am starting to panic. UGH. Hate that. Going to finish the remainder of 159 mcq's on Indiv Tax in the Wiley review book and then do a Becker simulated exam. Looks like a long night ahead of me!

Hope you guys are faring better than me!!
