As a lot of you already know, these tests are draining, creating a rollercoaster of emotions, and stressful. How do you handle the “downs” of studying? Those brick walls! For instance, one string of days I’ll be doing really well in MCQ! Then I’ll just be missing questions one by one by one :(. So frustrating!

I find it hard to deal with emotions of stress and fatigue because there is literally nobody I know taking the exams (in my personal life) who I could talk to.

Oh I feel your pain. Reach out to people on these threads and try to figure out what motivates you. I have coworkers who have passed all of the parts and I get support from them. This is important and it's hard for a reason. If it was easy, everyone would do it, you know? Just keep pushing through it. You can and will get there. Just do not give up.

I know FAR is the most mentally draining. I found myself staring at Egyptian words at some point where I was mentally exhausted. Nothing was making sense, so I went out for a jog and went to sleep. The next day I was at it again.

As silly as it sounds – you have the whole another71 community to talk to.

It is very challenging and im finally in the home stretch on my last exam after finishing tax season and I am BURNT OUT.

Trying so hard to not be cranky and pump through this.

    Just a few things:

If you're really depressed or angry while studying, best to do something else to try and reset. Depressed studying = bad MCQ rounds.

Get some exercise in, go for a walk or jog.

While not 100% recommended I found myself reaching for a beer or mixed drink just to take the edge off every so often (key here is ONE and not followed by many unless it is Fri/Sat night, etc.).

Find something to motivate you, focus on it, and get that desire to continue on.

Remember it is only 4 tests and if you study enough you'll get it done.

    BEC - 78
    AUD - 75
    REG - 74, 79
    FAR - 75

You have to buy a ticket to win the raffle.

I've found I don't do well on MCQ when I'm frustrated or tired. At that point maybe I need to take a break, but I also want to condition myself for the actual test.
